Nope, but its the sort of qualification you need to argue with him. Sometimes even that is not enough.

Not really.

An opinion like "Democracy is good for societies that can handle it well, and that's not us." can fall into one of two broad categories: Either the expressor of the opinion is a genius political scientist who has figured out what it means by a society "handling democracy" and can say with great authority which societies are capable of doing so, or he is some layperson doing ajaira chapabaji.

I think Shahriyar's opinion falls in the latter category. But you never know. Couldn't hurt to ask.

A slight mistake, maybe you did not have your glasses on when you went through my posts. I never said, "Democracy is good for societies that can handle it well......" I support the current government and want it to stay until the people charged with corruption are sentenced but I do want democracy to return to bangladesh, just dont want to attach a time frame of 6 months for this government to work with.
But other than that, yes you are correct. Most of my opinions you can categorize in the latter category specially when I am being judged by a person of your knowledge. .... from a layperson doing ajaira chaapabaji

Yes! I think we used that word to describe the competition of posts between Ehsan and another Indian kid when they became a member of this site....

Hmm...you really want to get banned I guess. Any more of this, in any other thread, any other time, you will be banned permanently. No temporary ban business.

Last warning.

Buddy? Hell no! Shahid wasn't an Indian kid, he was a Bangladeshi who was living in Kolkata. Competition? I don't think thats the right word, it could be described as deliberately forced one-sided competition. The guy used to bring on an imaginary competition between me and him, and talk about in the forum. Well I was young, and his stupidness used to force me to get carried way and indulge in useless arguments with him, such a waste of time.

The Indian Kid was Amit. The most insane Indian I ever came across. He used to claim "Bangladesh would never ever be able to beat India", although he is banned I hope he is reading the posts in BC after BD-IND game and pulling his hairs out! I still I doubt if Shahid and Amit were the same person with different ID as Shahid sorta used to support India as well.

And I don't think I ever came across the word "manikjors" before.

Well I am pretty sure we discussed the word in length and in that context most likely. My brain is weird like that.. I can't remember lecture notes even if I read it 100x but I can remember all the inconsequential info there is out there...

for ex: I remember all the mnemonics I read but dont have a clue what they mean....

We were taught - Layers of Epidermis (deeper to superficial): Before [..........] - Since i forgot what they stand for...on the exam I wrote [....]

ppl reading this must be thinking i am a psychiatrist patient.. I AM!!

Arnab, you are waay too trigger-happy with your ban threats.

When you are arguing toe-to-toe with someone, you cannot just all of a sudden get your secret weapon (banning threat) out and try to shut down the argument. Either you are speaking as a member in the same footing as everyone else, or you are in the sidelines as a moderator (which apparently you are not).

Anyway, hope you get more professional.

Well said. A system where bans can be applied by a moderator not actively participating in that concerned thread would be nice. Its always good to have moderators "step in" to warn/ban, and not to just threaten to use the ban against people who have social/political views contrary to his own.

Here is democracy for you: Even though Arnab sounds like a Dicktator, if he runs for moderator (popular) vote here, he will most likely win.

Hence the comment by whoever it was : Bangladeshis do not deserve democracy because they liked to be analed..

I didn't threaten to ban Alien because he has social/political views contrary to my own.

You do not bait an admin just for the heck of it when you have nothing else to say. If you do so, you get banned. Very simple, really. In fact, I am actually being an *extremely* friendly admin, almost as if I am a non-admin friendly fellow member, to explain this simple fact to this extent. Maybe I should really start acting like other clever admins and ban without any announcement.
