BCCI demands at least 7 World Cup Matches for India before elimination

No matter how bad India plays, ICC needs to ensure that India plays at least 7 matches in World Cup. India should not be eliminated from World Cup without playing at least 7 matches.

This is the essence of the demands that BCCI will forward to ICC.
In order to fulfill this Demand, BCCI wants ICC to change World Cup format if needed.

My Proposal:
I propose to BCB to host “Losers Trophy” in April involving India and Pakistan.

BCCI is having a hard time because of the financial losses they had to endure after India’s early knock-out from the world cup. Since Bangladesh is responsible for this great loss to BBCI, Bangladesh should come forward to make it up for India by arranging the "Losers Trophy".

India and Pakistan found a “Sudden Gap” in their schedule: they are the only major test playing nations who have nothing on Schedule for April. So if BCB hosts the “Losers Trophy” in April, this will ensure at least 7 matches for India this year!! This way, India can make up for the financial losses and at the same time they can acclimatize with the Bangladesh condition. They sure need an intense preparation before facing Tigers in May.

Let's hope Sri Lanka beats South Africa. After that morale of South Africa would be pretty low given two consecutive losses. Then we will unleash spin attack on them. They seem pretty shaky against spin. If we pick up win against South Africa, we should be able to win last three games (West Indies, England, Ireland) and make into semifinal.

My point is simple. The top eight teams according to the rankings should play at least seven matches before they are eliminated from the tournament.

Before saying this... he should have taken into consideration that before the next world cup... India might be pushed below the 'magical top-8' in ICC rank.

Great Idea BB. Only comment I have is you need to be little bit more deplomatic and sensitive naming the Trophy. It needs to be less offensive to the loosers you know. For example we have similar tournament here in USA for College basketball and its called NIT.

Actually, they should make it a 4 nation tournament with Keny and Zimbabwe.

They have to make sure Kenya and Zimbabwe do not go to the final. They have used up their quota of disasters and then some. Having Indian umpires in all games and playing the game in India would solve this small issue.
