Miraz Bhai how much chance do we have now to qualifying for Semi? Is there any realistic chance?

4 wins give you a huge chance to go to Semis. Beating England, West Indies and Ireland will give us the needed 4 wins plus the precious run rate boost. Can Bangladesh beat 3 mighty opponents back to back, we will have to see.
This is a superb win. I am speechless, the only win as big as this was the Australia win in Cardif. This is much bigger and better win than the India win.
Well done boys, you have exceeded my expectation.

This win is better than Cardiff.
In world cup and beating top ranked team when we had to justify our qualification into super eights.
Nothing could have been better than this.

Yup. This match was way more challenging and exciting. We could have had that all too familiar batting order collapse, but we didnt, and instead we built up well enough.
Then it was to our bowlers' and fielders' credit that we could strangle South Africa the way we did.
All in all though, SA did make their fine share of mistakes... but at the end of the day we earned it. And its much more rewarding this way.

Yeah time will say if we can make those reamining three.
Between cricinfo still enjoys labeling BD wins as " Upsets" , which probably they will not do any more if we can win the remainings.

and in the process, pura worldcup jomay dewa. No one is now sure for a spot in the semi. And Eng, WI, BD all are back with the probability of having a birth in the semi.

"Owww Yeah"...
I’m ****ING ECSTATIC (Pardon my French), I mean who wouldn’t be, this was a crucial game for us and people said to me India’s game was just shire luck..!! Well in their face now. Bangladesh have proved themselves worthy for any competition and against any teams in the world.
I hope the very best for them in the future and ahead of the tournament. ‘Keep it real guys’ and hey I’ve said this in the other tread, Habibul Bashar has to go..!!

To add to my post..
Unlike Cardiff, we were in control for the major part of the game.
This is a much more convincing win.

'Nah, How could you even compare the two games, back then Bangladesh weren’t even that good and beating the best team in the World i.e. Australia, comes as one of the greatest upsets in cricket and a memorable moment for us. Not forgetting the youngest centurion player to have made a 100 - Ashraful (I think that was the moment he held the world record). Fav game that as well! Even now it’s the most talked about game amongst my none Bangladeshi friends.
I hope we kick thier *** again - Aussies ere we come Boyo'..!!

Nice report Miraz Bhai. I am loving every bit of it. The last part of PLAYS of THE DAY from Cricinfo by Dileep Premachandran says:
"Please God, Let Bangladesh Win" So said a banner in the stands as we walked across for the presentation. "It's great for the tournament, man, it's great" yelled the man holding it. "We weren't the only ones to lose," shouted another dressed in Indian colours. The locals seemed to think that this opened up their path to the semi-finals. But they have to get past mighty Bangladesh first!

Loved the title of this image
Breathtaking rally: Tamim Iqbal's forehand smash over Charl Langeveldt's head would have put Steffi Graf or Jim Courier to shame
And the part from Plays of the day from cricinfo..
Quote:
|
Bullseye: As long as Shaun Pollock and Herschelle Gibbs, South Africa's most accomplished players of spin, were at the crease, there was always a faint glimmer of hope. That was extinguished when Tamim Iqbal pounced at mid-off and arrowed in a throw at the bowler's end to catch Pollock a few inches short. Indians and Pakistanis, with their geriatric, useless fielders, watched and wept.

Amazing win. I wish I had the opportunity to enjoy it.
I waited all day at work hoping to come home and watch the match as if I was watching it live. As luck would have, i got scarred BADDDDDDDDD.
First - my staff tell me, you want to know the score ? I said NOOOOOOO. So he says, well, I'll check it for myself. He does and the flipper tell me - you sure you don't want to know the score ? You'll be really happy. Well, there goes strike one.
Second - on my way back to work, stopped by moms place to pick up some stuff and told her can't wait - gotta go home and watch the match. She say - CHA KHEYE JA. GRRRRR. Greed got to me. It was my dad who blew it for me, OF ALL THE PEOPLE THAT COULD CALL TO GIVE ME UPDATES. he calls up on my cell and goes - Did you watch the Game ... no pause, nothing --- Bangladesh won. Before I could stop him ..... GRRRRRRR
Third - Figured, atleast I don't know the scores, right ? So, I get home. Turn on my DVR. It shows that the match was recorded from 930 am. I hit play. The screen was filled with a static image of a guy with WC credentials reaching over to grab something infront of the camera. That's it, FOR TWO WHOLE MINUTES> That's all my Directv DVR recorded.
After looking around online for some free replays, I finally gave in. Told myself. What's realy important is that we won. Doens't matter if I MISSED IT ALL. GRRRRR.
I'm gonna go and make some tea now, I didn't get to have tea at mom's cause I ran out of there to watch the match. . PS. If you have creicket plus, they'll show highlights at 8pm Monday night. They'll show the whole match on Friday at 12pm.
One more thing, the idiots at Directv thinks India is playing all the Bangladesh matches. Here's the link. Well, guess what. The last two matches might have been India, but this one was ALL US.

Loved this part from BBC

Their bowling was tight and clever and their fielding was electric - with wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim providing a constant running commentary of events.
