Default What I want to see tomorrow...

I am going to be a touch arrogant and presume that Bangladesh is going to win tomorrow, even though Ireland is playing excellent cricket and we do tend have batting collapses our recent form and confidence indicate a Bangladeshi victory on Sunday.

What I want to see our team doing tomorrow is something I don't our team has ever done, and that is to bat first and pile up a massive (300 minimum) score that breaks the back of the chasing effort even before it begins and buries the opposition in a mountain of pressure, similar to what Sri Lanka did to us in the group matches.

Why Bangladesh has never done it I don't know, even when we began to win comfortably against the associates (last year), we still preferred to chase and when batting first our highest score has been 300, and even that only once. For once I want to see our team go out and dominate the attack to the tune of 7 an over till the opposition is crying for mercy. Is that too much to ask?

PS: Actually, I will be happy if we just win tomorrow.

Please consider that we would be playing on a seaming and bouncy wicket of Barbados........Ire has two pacers who can exploit the condition...batting first and going for 300 may backfire.............you know we are talking about BD......consistency is the enigma for them...........

Barbados pitch is not a 300+ one, that is for sure. I will be happy with a score around 250, if we happen to bat first.

What I want to see tomorrow....is a good all round effort with Nafees and Habitual Basher hitting themselves back to form, finally finishing off with a 60-150 run win.

IF we get a good batsman for Bashar and SN and Ash and Aftab clicks we could get to 300+. Remember, even NZ had hard time scoring against them. 275 would be a good knock and 300 would be extraordinary.

The last time we had 3 batsmen 'click' was against India.

Yea sure. Ireland scored some crazy runs against SA in 35 overs. I don't remember what it was exactly, and am lazy to look it up. But they scored 153 I think

Bash and Nafees hitting some form in this match will help us against the WI in the next match. We have a good chance against the WI but to convert it into a win- we need our main batsmen to click.

Good news for me- I was supposed to help a friend move tomorrow, but he just called me now to tell me that he will move next weekend so that I can enjoy the match tomorrow.

What Capslock want is a dream game, I wish I could be as hopeful as him but I am afraid I am not. What I want first is for Bashar to win the toss for a change and then bowl first on a seaming wicket. And then I want both Bashar and Nafees to lead by example, for once for God's sake, so we can win the match and carry that confidence to beat WI in the following match.
