Sorry Tintin,

Didn't find the English version of this news-item. Anyway, here's the summary translation of the article.

Rafique's Hunger for Wickets has grown.

The soft-spoken Rafique spoke frankly about his exclusion from the team in the past. He said those who kept him outside the test side by labeling him 'one-day' bowler must be realizing their injustice. He said if he had the chance to play all the tests since the beginning of his career - he would have had a shot ot 50 wickets and more 5-fers. He said, his exclusion from the team has made him more determined and that determination has increased his hunger for more wickets.

Hope this summary helps..

Here is the gist of what he said:

Quote:

"Being branded a specialist one-day bowler really hurt my career. I think I could have had fifty Test wickets by now had I been given the chance to play more matches."

He sounds a bit over-confident to me now.

This goes for all the Golla Bashers too. Even though he played some good one day innings, he has always been labelled a Slow (ie TEST) player. With the team desperately needing an opener, he was sent back from Pakistan after the Test matches. That really didn't make much sense to me.
