Actually I am not happy to see this release. Only 7 Million Dollars net Income? That sounds way too low. The TV deal alone gives them about 6 million a year.

I guess everyone in BCB took a big chunk before the net income was calculated.

Default TV deals give us $6 million a year?

Are you sure Raana bhai? Thats not bad. But TV apart, where else does the money come from anyway? $1 million is 6 crore taka. Apart from TV deals, what are our other revenue sources? Domestic cricket games have very poor crowd turnout and they are mostly free anyway. As for Test matches, the turnout has been pretty poor so far so I can't imagine that we get much money out of ticket sales. Wait, I'm writing this without reading the Ittefak report, so maybe that will clear things up.

May be not. I vaguely remember. Could be wrong.

There are many source of income. Tour sponsor, tournament (CVS) sponsor, suvenir, gate money, bill boards, official goods sale...

I just imagine we should make more than 7.

?? By net income they must mean the top line number - revenues - or at least gross profit (after any cost of sales). Their net profit after operating expenses is really the net income, the bottom line number.

Accounting terms aside, you can be assured the revenues shown are lower than the actual revenues after accounting for off-balance sheet transactions. but then i must be speculating...
