Default .....

Why does this series in Sri Lanka scare me despite that other batsmen Warnapura or something being in the SL national side playing against our national side (which in itself is kind of another scary thought) ?

I am pretty sure its the same Rubel from this year's pacer hunt. We also have Subashis Roy from last year's pacer hunt and Shahjahan Tipu, another pacer from this year's pacer hunt is in the standby list. Last year we had under-19 team with players like Sakib, Mushfiq, Mehrab, Dollar, and Tamim. This year I am struggling to find a familiar name.

Keep an eye on Taposh Ghosh (vice-capt), Md Mithun and Rony Talukder. Very exciting prospects.

Ar they dhum dharakka batsmen or the sensible ones?

dhum dharakka means SR over 120%.
Sensible ones means can adapt to situations.

The new generations are far more positive than oldies.

Should be called sensible and positive batsman.
Iftikhar Nayeem Ahmed and Rayhan Anas are also good batting prospect.
In fact I missed the name of Iftikhar Nayeem Ahmed before, he is considered as the best batsman of the current U-19 batch.

OK a bit clarification.

Md Mithun should be read as Md Mithun Ali, a wicketkeeper batsman made his first class debut for Sylhet Division last year.

Mahmudul Hasan is top order batsman played for BKSP last year and played vital role in the first division championship fight for BKSP.

Ariful Haq is another good all-rounder plays for Barisal Division in the NCL.

I am hoping its a sign of good news rather than bad news. Hopefully it means: "new talents are comming like flood water, very hard to keep track." Hopefully these are our future Mushfiq, Mehrab, Dollar, and Tamim in-terms of talent ....only that we still know it yet bevcause of their lack of exposure to media.

I think BD usually ships them to Australia, the modern mecca of cricket, for intensive training and of course experience. I know Aftab Ahmed spent some time with the Ausralian Cricket Academy.

If the Rubel is indeed this year's Pacer Hunt's find, I am not sure if he is ready yet.

I actually like seeing the new names in the team ... which means we are unearthing more talent. The whole "150 million people" theory should be holding true

If Ifthekar Nayeem Ahmed is really the brother of SN,he is a huge prospect. In many interviews relating to SN,he himself and other players said that he is a much better batsman than SN.

Good to get familiar with our future, but I believe we have finally passed the stage when we have to pick up kids from th U-19 to the National team. These kids should be groomed at the Academy team after this, and then the A team, and should be handed the cap, provided that they perform,at around 22-23.

Most probably you are right. We will be sure after the tour, but with 150 million people,50% of them aged under 19,its really really hard not to get a world class team.I hope from my heart that they will keep the legacy up.And remember what AD Winter said? These kids are better than their Aussie Counterparts.
