Default Mamun

National Cricket started this week. On one of the match, some bowler named Mamun from Shirajgonj bowled 11/8 including a hattrick.

Might be a fluke, but seems worth watching out for.

Please Don't be too excited about Mamun as this is his first match. Moreover the pitch may be under-prepared. I think a little bit of patience may serve us better.

Right. Not only underprepared but also probably a lot of help from an unplayably damp pitch, thanks to rain. Only 2 out of 8 matches took place yesterday. The match where Mamun took 8 wickets, was held in Rangpur, the other one in Comilla. I'm not much familiar with Rangpur stadium's pitch, but I've played in the Comilla stadium's pitch. Trust me it's unplayable there after an hour's rain. I believe Rangpur wouldn't be much different either. Fwullah has been saying that it's been raining for quite a while in BD now, so pitch must have helped him a great deal. Either way, we will keep an eye on his performances this year.

Yup, it can totally be fluke. However, since he is from shirajgonj, they will be out soon. So, watch for him in next 1 or 2 games they will play.

This is a problem in this kind of national tournaments. Only 1-2 games for regular teams. So even if there is a great talent, he can not come to lime light coz his team sucks.

He is probably no extra ordinary, but these are the individual performances, that we should look for and hopefully, the selectors will pick them out if they are good despite their team takeing the early exit from the tournament.

One bad thing about National league is if a match is prosponed due to rain, the winner will be decided by toce.

There were other bowlers but only Mamun took 8 wickets, may be the pitch provided help but he utilized that..
