If and when he decides to bow out, i want Mater-Blater to bow out reminding people of what he was for the most part of his career and not how he has played the last couple of years.
Back to back 100s in BD and now back to back 90s should give him the freedom to start getting his lost touch.

Sachin in last 10 ODIs scored as follows:
60, 100*, 54, 1, 7, 57*, 0, 4, 99, 93
That is 475 runs at about 50 runs per game (47.5) and at an average of close to 60 (59.4).
And yet we have complains
It just puts into perspective the kind of expectations we have from this batsman.

Congratulations to the "Little Master". And yes, it has been a long time since he batted like this and hope he continues this. Sometimes I wonder if BD had the whole top order and may be the middle order filled with Sachin what would happen!!

Well done Sachin; the only candidate who can be introduced into the subject of comparison with Lara!

Sachin is the best player in the world and is only next to Don Bradman...i am lucky to be born in an era where i can see how don used to bat in the 30s & 40s...however the modern day don has perhaps more pressure and the hopes of 100 billion people on his shoulder every time he hold the willow in his hand.

Sorry friend, but after Bradman, its Lara, then Tendulkar. Ponting, Inzi, and such other batsmen can't be included in this category.

well I feel Ponting is the best batsman I have ever seen in my life
and Kallis/S Waugh is the best allrounder of this generation
hats off to Sachin crossing that landmark

awesome!! I am so glad we have someone like him in our team. He has contributed immensely over the last 2 decades.
Zobair, he has played 387(!) ODIs so far. Only Jayasuria has played more ODIs than him, I think.
Here are his stats -
ODIs
Matches - 387
Runs - 15043
HS - 186*
Ave. - 44.24
Strike Rate - 85.62
100/50 - 41/79
Tests
Matches - 137
Runs - 10922
HS - 248*
Ave. - 55.44
100/50 - 37/43
An interesting tidbit from cricinfo article on Tendulkar reaching 15,000 -
"His innings left Tendulkar with a one-day international career record of 15,043 runs in 387 matches at an average of 44.24 with 41 hundreds. To put that in context, his nearest pursuer in the list of all-time leading one-day international run scorers is Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya with 12,063 in 395 matches."

Congrats to Tendy, his admirable consistency often in the face of some structural disadvantages and adversities will pay off as long as he continues to play ... Tendy fans: enjoy it before Ponting takes over and leaves you behind.

Not that easy, punters man.He is good, maybe currently the best, but he is not in the same league as Tendu or Lara.He is more at par with Inzy,Mark Wough or Sayeed Anwar.

We shall see mah brotha ... BTW, I don't think Tendy's in the same league as Lara who belongs with the gods, not just the giants of cricket.

He would have.
Lara had much better talent than Sachin, and I'd still rate him above Sachin, but it's Lara's own temperament and attitude that has betrayed him.
