Halim. Should be yellow. There are some greenish Halims out there.

Jilapi. Should be thin and crispy to the max.

I actually like the thick ones.. slightly soft, not too crunchy/crispy.

I don't like any form of Jilapi (except may be chanar jilapi). Alhamdulillah, we've been gathering for the community Iftar (mostly Bangladeshi food; mixed community) everyday and we're serving Jilapi almost daily. I'm yet to touch one. But jara jilapi pochondo kore sobar dawat roilo.

----------------

My favorite Iftar is when Muri, beguni, piyaju and everything mixed in a bowl and muri becomes soft and soggy. I love to eat that with a big date/khurma. I only have it once in a Ramadan usually because Isha/Taraweeh pora difficult hoye jai.

The ifftar items which would make my ideal ifftar platter:
Lemon Juice
Dates
Piyaju
Chola Bhajee
Samosa (Keema)
Haleem (Proper Bangladeshi one not the slimy mushy Pakistani one)
Jilapi (Thin)
Vegetable Roll
Cucumber Slices

However out of all of them, I also feel the Haleem has to be the most sought after.
