I think last night quite a few of us sensed that it was a done deal, me for one.
The magnanimous act was the declaration. Mark Taylor declared rather than beat Australia's record. For this I respect them. Sportsmanship and a calculated move to seal a win. You gotta get the other team in at the right psychological moment. Matt Hayden got his chance and that was necessary to prove a thing or two to detractors about this Australian side.
