Yeah and Junaid pretty much hammers the last nail of Javed Omars ODI coffin.. but I am really thinking of this musical chair.. Now Tamim is showing signs of form degradation.. Seems like our "in form" opening pair is a mirage...

Hmmmm........he plays an innings of 73, a rather slow one at that, against a New Zealand state team, and now he's been confirmed as the next superstar? Right. That's nice

Welcome back Dr. S...back for a while at least?
I don't think there's anything that goes against Zunaed until now. He's shown some good temperament and displayed good technique. This should be considered as "good". From here on, that's another story. Let him keep scoring until when we can change that "good" to "consistent". But so far, I'm all for putting this guy in the front line and prove his worth.

if you pray for Bangladeshi cricket team, alhamdulillah! but sacrificing anything to mazaars is "SHIRK", even if the mazzar belongs to the greatest person in the world, Prophet Mohammad(PBUH)... Allah doesn't tolerate SHIRK...i may not pray five times or do other stuff, but keeping my oneness faith in ALLAH and warning others about the greatest crime in ISLAM should be an effortless duty for any muslim by name to earn a spot in heaven.
"SHIRK"= the act of setting partners with Allah, in any form. not even the prophet has any control over any matter, such as fate. Allah has dominion over all the particles and anti-particles in this universe. mazaar are haram in islam, both the quran and the hadith antagonizes such "new behavior in islam". this has to stop all around the world including bangladesh.
if you call yorself muslim, do yourself a favor: WORSHIP ALLAH AND ALLAH ALONE!
on second note, may Allah gift junaed siddique with brilliant performances in the future and present.

Dear Rifat,
If you're really interested in my humble views of Islam, please feel free to read any one of my MANY posts and threads on the matter in this and other forums and websites, especially with regards to "Shirk" ...
I also humbly suggest that you leave the judgment to GOD alone, and take the time to take this SENSE OF HUMOR TEST before jumping the gun and shootings others down with that righteous indignation.
Peace, Sohel.

Thanks everyone, especially K for the warm welcome back. I'll try to be around for the tour ...
On topic: the BIG Z is very special indeed and by the supreme grace of GOD, this is just the beginning of something great for our cricket, this tall and good-natured young man from Rajshahi, and us fans. Just watch him bat and you too will be a believer before long ...

yeah, my friends have always said to me that i take "light matter" wayy tooo seriously. but to me, the creator is far more important... i see a lot of things wrong, a lot of things right. my intend was not to shoot my gun at you. it was just a warning. of course, GOD alone is the best judge of judges.
maybe it was a joke, but i have seen soo many die hard bangladeshi fans. in 19th April saw a Bangadeshi cry when Tamim got out(world cup west indies), that was pretty sad in all sorts of dimensions when you think about it.
that's my problem, i judge others based on conjecture out of a majority group, i may be right, i may be wrong.

That's how we brand superstar and ditch them eventually.
I sincerely hope Zunayed never reads similar stuff (written in this thread) within the next 2-3 years.
We need his service for our cricket.

We need to find a way to make sure that all the new comers in the national side are kept away from BC. The way we brand them just after watching 1/2 games is really horrible. If they read what we discuss here, they burst out like overloaded ballons with over confidence.

Zunayed is very promising, but still too early to label him anything. Let's give him a few matches to settle in.

If this is the latest superstar, may I be allowed to ask: who, exactly is the first ? or ,for that matter , who are the others ?
What is the criterion for qualification ?

"BD" superstar. A cricketer we'll pay to see. Someone with "presence" who can generate excitement irrespective of what he does in the middle. Someone talismanic ...
The only other BD superstars in order:-
1. Mohammad Ashraful.
2. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.
Aftab can get there soon enough also.

What a response! No wonder you're a......................cricket guru!
Feel so glad that you've returned back ! Your presence always creates an electrifying ambience, and it was quite morbid overhere when you were not around. Missed you greatly.
Keep the aura invigorated, and we need you to add spice as we approach our future celebrations coming this month, Insha'Allah!!!
