BCB Should Organize A Tournment
I Would Like The Bangladesh Cricket Team To Organise A Tournment That Includes Other International Team So Our Bangladeshi Team Gets Some Practice And Learns From Mistake.
If I Was The Bcb Director Or Chair Man I Would Have Done A Tournment Like This
one Day International Match
Group A
1)kenya
2)scotland
3)ireland
Group B
1)bangladesh
2)zimbabwe
3)canada
Each Team Plays Two Match In Group Stage
winner Of Group Stage A Vs Winner Of Group Stage B (final)
Total Days Needed To Play Tournment= 7days
It Would Have Been A Nice Tournment To Watch

Group A

Zimbabwe
Group B
Bangladesh U-19
Kenya
Canada
Netherland
Developing squad should play them but not the main team

i'd have it like this:
group A
bangladesh
west indies
zimbabwe
group b
bangladesh A
ireland
england
but i think the most beneficial type of series would be a quad-series between bangladesh, WI, england and zimbabwe.

With all due respect to the lower ranking teams, how's BD is going to learn from their mistake by playing against these teams? If you want to be the best, play against the best teams. Even if you lose, you go away with lot of positives and you certainly learn and improve hell of a lot.

With New Zealand tour in mind, BCB should first make arrangement for building bouncy wickets first. Then A competition at club level with foreign players can also help - our local clubs are losing image because of lack of attractive cricketers and that is hurting our domestic leagues. I hope teams like Abahani, Moh, etc. can contract some fast bowlers from Srilanka/ Australia and along with the national players bring in some club level competition.

i think it's crucial that if there is an event like this at the very least west indies should be involved and if possible england as well. these are the next 2 teams bangladesh need to reach in terms of standard of cricket so it's important they play them. i think a tournament like this would be pointless without teams like england and west indies because those are the teams bangladesh need to learn from. at the same time you don't want the opposition to be so good that bangaldesh has no hope of reaching the final or winning the tournament which is why you'd have WI and england instead of teams like australia, south africa or new zealand.

You are better off having Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in separate groups, as Zimbabwe (besides Kenya, if a real upset occurred) is the only team that is a genuine chance of knocking Bangladesh out.
Also, then you are set up for a Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh final... and the rivalry continues

this type of tournament is a great idea when we are in a long break or something, we have the 20/20 WC next, then the NZ tour then the ODI tournament witth India and SA and then test and ODI series with SA, why not wait after the ICC trophy in 2009, then we should talk, so this type of tournament would give those teams a great preparation for the WC 2011 as well as Bangladesh.
