Default BCB to invite Asian legends for Sidr Match

BCB to invite Asian legends
for Sidr match

Staff Correspondent
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has taken an initiative to host a charity match between former Bangladesh cricketers and Asian legends to help the victims of Cyclone Sidr, officials said on Tuesday.
The initiative was approved in a meeting of the BCB executive committee on Monday and an official was entrusted to take necessary steps in this regard, said the BCB抯 cricket operations committee chairman Gazi Ashraf Hossain.
慦e have given the responsibility to BCB member Mirza Salman Ispahani to work for the match. He will now contact some former Asian legends aged over 45 and subjected to their availability, the match will be held sometime in next month,?said Ashraf.
In the same meeting, the BCB also asked chief executive officer Mahmudur Rahman to talk with the ICC on whether any charity match is possible with the current international cricketers.

Oh no! We're gonna lose by a hundred and thirty gazillion runs!

0.1 Prince to Hanif Mohammad, Twelve! Closes his eyes and effortlessly lobs it over the city to the suburbs.

A team of Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad, Abdul Qadir, Moin Khan, Sashstri, Gavaskar, Azahar uddin, Ranatunga, Ratnayek, De Silva ( not Ashoka) and ...... would be a great team, I would think

From Daily Star:
Quote:
"We have discussed two options during the board meeting. We can arrange a match between Asian Masters and Local Masters or arrange a match through the ICC (International Cricket Council). But everything is in the preliminary stage," said Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, chairman of the cricket operations committee.
I've also read shamokal and ittefaq today but didnt find anything about the age matter. I think NewAge got the wrong info as usual.

Is it true about this over 45 age group? It should be anyone who has retired from international cricket regardless of this over 45 age group.

It's not TRUE. The NEW AGE is giving the wrong information. They always give false information. BCB is not so fool to do that.

Are they talking about cricket age or real age here? back in their days, they used to "dine dupure dakati" with their age, so technically if they are looking for a legend over 45, he's actually over 50. I wonder if they are still fit.

and also only the real gud players n NAMI-DAMI, not one of those TOTKA-NATKA legends.

Y would we end up with 50 players in the team. We can pik 10-15 out of those all the legend. N when selectors pike our BD national team they pik 15 out of lik 30+ players from the camp. I dont get where do u get the idea of have 50 players in the team
.

I would like to see Sharmilas daughter to represent Nowab of Patudi! Javed Burki is a must if he is alive. I would love to see Javed Burki giving an impromptu hint to Javed Omar to be the all time slow poke.
