Exclamation yet another reminder of the pangs of cricketing infancy

http://www.cricketnetwork.co.uk/boar...tm?118,8938772

the above link is to a thread at indian cricket fever forum which basically laments the reckless strokes played by yuvraj and then later utthappa.

this is for all the BC pessimists who feel that ashraful and aftab should have "learned" by now. yuvraj is a good 3 years older than ash and has been around in the int'l arena for several years and has won india a few matches.

yuvraj at least had the likes of dravid, tendulkar, laxman, and ganguly to "learn" from. who does ashraful, aftab, et al have to "learn" from.

when you have a series of cricketing infants suiting up to play tests and odis, you are going to have many poor performances, and even some comical ones. but lets give our boys the proper time they deserve to show us what they have, especially since they have the disadvantages no one else has to bother with.

Nice thread... It's that every once in a while we see what kind of talent some of our bastmen have and we know that they have potential to be really good if not great. And then we see them make the same mistakes over and over again and getting out in the same fashion. It's quite disheartning sometimes.

But I guess it happens to the best of them when players go through rough patches. But only the great ones and can turn things around with minimal damages and faster than other players. That's what makes them great, and I guess thats what we expect from our players.

Dhurro, mia! Kisher moiddhe ki, panta bhate ghee.

Yuvraj has test average of 33, ODI average of 36. Ashraful has test average of 25, ODI average of 22.

Aftab has played 72 ODIs. Uthappa has played less than half - 31 ODIs.

Why are you making excuses for our sorry excuses of a captain and another sorry excuse of an ODI-specialist? Make excuses for Tamim or Mushfiq or one of the other inexperienced players. Don't make excuses for Aftab and Ashraful. Duitai gadha ebong sharajibon gadhai thakbe.
