I honestly think Ash has a future in test cricket. However, give him at least 6 months to a year. And do not give him a chance in ODIs at leastfor two years.
I also cannot believe he is complaining about not getting enough chances...come on, get real...

I'm (sick and) tired of reading statistics here. hmphhh.
What you fail to see is how he's been nurtured since 2001. Everybody here seems to very conveniently overlook the turmoil he's been put through, by the selectors, the media - and instead of protecting him from the externals so he can concentrate on the game, he's been pushed further into it. Just live a day in Ashraful's shoes, guys - he's the youngest-ever test centurion, he's the prodigy, he's supposed to be the magician who could swoosh victories merely by waving his bat around. International cricket is not anyone's backyard. He's been put out to open, then sent to the middle order, lower-middle, and then to one down again. Which other batsman in Bangladesh's history has been confused so profusely about his role in the team? He was thrust into International Cricket before he was psychologically ready to take the pressure, and thereafter - instead of building him up - we kept pushing him forward beyond capacity.
People are always saying Ashraful gets out to the short ball and poking outside off, yet no one can conclusively name another batsman in the side whop has Ashraful's range of shots all around, with his ease and comfort in handling pace, bounce swing and spin. Before you talk about technique, please know what it is.
I hope and pray Ash gets into a horrible road accident and loses a leg or something, so that all this can finally stop. About things he didn't do for his country.
Sorry if this post offends anyone, but I had to say this, if this was the last thing I say about him on this thread.

After match threads; this is probably the most viewed thread. Already over 100K views!
Just shows how important Ash actually is.
You can deny it as much as you want; but you still clicked on the thread

I clicked so many times in this thread , commented so many times in this thread.
I am doing my part to keep this thread (and eventually ashraful) moving and relevent even when he is not playing for the national team.
... and still people call me Ashraful hater. Pura kopal ...
