I'm giving the selectors a pass because I think they wanted him to go to U19 WC all along and I'm sure they will recall him for the WI tests and he will shine. So fair enough. But you can't give a talented guy 3 chances and call it quits. They need at least 5-10 consecutive chances. I don't have the same love for talentless guys like Imrul, Nazimuddin, etc.

3 chances in a tour where 4 games were played is sufficient enough to make some sort of impression, I'd say. Anamul was given an opportunity in the first 3 games (from what I remember), against both opponents, and he was equally clueless in all of them.
Now don't get me wrong - I'm a huge fan of Anamul, and I know he's going to come back strong, and it was probably just nerves getting the better of a young man not quite ready for an away tour playing the most fast-paced format. He simply didn't show any semblance of being able to compete on that tour, and I think it's a good wake-up call that will push him to work harder, and come back much, much stronger.

Not really.
There's SBD - Silent but deadly. Those types of brain farts are cool. They deliver silently, and never let anyone find out that they did.
And there's also DDI - Dog did it fart. It's when it's loud...and everyone hears, but you blame it on someone else. Like the selectors...for not selecting him on a regular basis.
I would much rather have an SBD than DDI.

Let Ash unleash and i think he would be more effective in T20s. I think we dont need to think of Anamul as a T20 prospect. He is certainly a prospect at no. 3 for BD in tests.

Alhamdulilah! I think he has done a decent job so far...on most matches he laid a solid platform, even in T20 you need that as Bangladesh proved against associates...
so, Ashraful stays...in T20 only though.

Such a young couple but already with 3 kids, MashAllah. The eldest looks like daddy but the younger ones definitely have their mommy's looks, and possibly, her brains as well.

We say all those things about Ashraful because we love him and want him to do better. He lets us down, more importantly he lets himself down. There is nothing more joyful than seeing a roaring Ashraful scoring runs, bat like an artist. We just want him to roar more often. But if he keeps failing, he will be dropped, he will be fired and frustrated fans will rip. SImple circle of life. (See how much heat Shakib(!) is getting.)
We wish Ashraful all the best, and may he truly becomes a consistent performer for Bangladesh SOON. That is all.

z777 must be talking about Ashraful's fastest Test 50..vs India I think, in Mirpur, 2007...he took 27 minutes to reach his fifty and got out soon after that I think...the fastest test 50, he still holds that world record....I think that's what he is talking about...
•Mohammad Ashraful: 50 off 26 balls, 27 mins (9 x 4, 2 x 6)
Mohammad Ashraful c Tendulkar b Kumble 67
India tour of Bangladesh, 2007
India in Bangladesh Test Series - 2nd Test
Bangladesh v India
India won by an innings and 239 runs

They should have Pepto-Bismol and flavored Orsaline on the menu. My Abby-Tabby cat Cleo, thumbless and a raw/parboiled/canned fish enthusiast, would cook better than the lame excuse of a chef he has "cooking" there. The only reason to go there would be to heckle him, but bring your own Mastans just in case.

Is z777 THE Zosna Ara Khatun Jeba, M tin's bride to be? If she is, then the 7s make sense as our own Brainfart Bradman was presumably born on July 7th. If not, then sincere apologies for my presumption.
