No bhai Shahadat gave away 104 runs in his 10 overs. Ash bowled 10 overs and conceded 73 runs.

জাতীয় দল থেকে ‘নির্বাসিত’ মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল হয়ে গেলেন বাংলাদেশ ‘এ’ দলের অধিনায়ক। দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা সফর থেকে আজ মাত্র একটা জয় নিয়ে ফিরলেও তাঁর নিজের অর্জনের তালিকায় আছে একটা সেঞ্চুরিও। তবে জাতীয় দলের সাবেক অধিনায়ক তাতেও পুরোপুরি সন্তুষ্ট নন। কাল দেশে ফেরার বিমানে ওঠার আগ মুহূর্তে দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা থেকে টেলিফোনে জানালেন সে কথাই

 সব মিলিয়ে কেমন হলো দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা সফর?
মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল: খারাপ হয়নি। এখানে যে দলটা নিয়ে এসেছি তাতে সেই অর্থে কোনো ওপেনার ছিল না। যারা ওপেনার হিসেবে এসেছে তারা ঢাকা লিগে ৩-৪ নম্বরে খেলে রান করেছে। এ ছাড়া বেশির ভাগ ম্যাচেই আমরা শেষ ১০ ওভারে গিয়ে হেরেছি।
 নিজের পারফরম্যান্স নিয়ে কী বলবেন?
আশরাফুল: বড় ইনিংস বেশি খেলতে না পারলেও একটা সেঞ্চুরি করেছি। তবে বড় ইনিংস আরও খেলা উচিত ছিল। বিশেষ করে যে ম্যাচে ৩৯ করলাম, ওটা অন্তত ৬০-৭০ হলে ভালো হতো। কিছু করারও ছিল না আসলে। এক দিক দিয়ে উইকেট পড়ে যাচ্ছিল।
 এক ম্যাচে ৮৯ বলে সেঞ্চুরি করলেন। অনেক দিন পর বোধহয় নিজের মতো ব্যাটিং করেছেন ওই ইনিংসে...
আশরাফুল: দ্রুত উইকেট পড়ে যাওয়ায় আমাকেও দ্রুত সেট হতে হয়েছে ওই ম্যাচে। আক্রমণাত্মক ব্যাটিং করেছি। প্রথম ২১ রান করেছি ৪৪ বলে, পরের ৯৮ এসেছে ৪৫ বলে। তবে নিজের মতো ব্যাটিং আমি জাতীয় লিগেও করেছি। আর জাতীয় দলে তো সুযোগই পাচ্ছিলাম না সেভাবে। প্রতি ম্যাচের আগেই টেনশন থাকত খেলতে পারব কি না। এখানে সেই টেনশন ছিল না। নির্ভার হয়ে খেলেছি।
 এই সিরিজে আপনার দলের সেরা পারফর্মার বলবেন কাকে?
আশরাফুল: অনেকেই ভালো খেলেছে। নাদিফ চৌধুরী চারদিনের ম্যাচে ৭০ রানের একটা ইনিংস খেলল। সব ম্যাচেই ও ভালো ব্যাটিং করেছে। এ ছাড়া জুনায়েদ সিদ্দিক, সগীর হোসেনও ভালো ব্যাটিং করেছে।
 দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা ‘এ’ দলের কোন খেলোয়াড় আপনাদের জন্য বেশি হুমকি হয়ে উঠেছিলেন?
আশরাফুল: নিজেদের কন্ডিশনে ওরা সব সময়ই কঠিন প্রতিপক্ষ। সব খেলোয়াড়ই ভালো খেলোয়াড়। তার পরও চার নম্বর ব্যাটসম্যান ডিন এলগার বেশি রান করেছে। ভালো ব্যাটসম্যান।
 ওখানকার সুযোগ-সুবিধা কেমন দেখলেন?
আশরাফুল: যেকোনো পর্যায়েই দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকার সুযোগ-সুবিধা বেশি। আমাদের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি ভালো তাদের অনুশীলন সুবিধা। ওরা খেলেও প্রচুর।
 অনেক দিন পর দেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে এমন কোনো দলের অধিনায়কত্ব করলেন। এটাও নিশ্চয়ই একটা ভিন্ন অভিজ্ঞতা...
আশরাফুল: জাতীয় দলের বাইরে আমি ঢাকা লিগে অধিনায়কত্ব করেছি। ‘এ’ দলের অধিনায়ক হয়েও এর আগে একটা সিরিজ খেলেছি। কাজেই অধিনায়কত্ব আমার জন্য নতুন কিছু নয়।
 আপনি যখন ‘এ’ দল নিয়ে দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকায়, জাতীয় দল তখন দেশে অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বিপক্ষে সিরিজ খেলল। খারাপ লাগেনি?
আশরাফুল: শুরুতে একটু খারাপ লেগেছিল। এখানে আসার পর ঠিক হয়ে গেছে। আসলে এটাই তো জীবন। নিজেকে প্রমাণ করেই আবার জাতীয় দলে ফিরতে হবে।
 আপাতত তো আর কোনো ক্রিকেট নেই। সামনের সময়টায় কী করবেন?
আশরাফুল: দেশে ফিরে ১০ তারিখ থেকে জাতীয় লিগের ফাইনাল খেলব। এরপর চেষ্টা করব ইংল্যান্ডে গিয়ে কোথাও ক্লাব ক্রিকেট খেলতে। এজেন্টকে বলেছি খোঁজখবর নিতে কোথায় খেলা যায়।
