What's going on here??? We won today. Let us be happy. Why can't we leave this guy alone for just one sec (in this case one match)?

One positive thing (out of many) about Ash is that he is always cheerful whether he is playing or benching in games.

Not today ! After the win he was not cheerful , very sad looking!! He knows very well that Shuvagata is going to be permanent.

None but Ashraful should blame himself, after playing ten years of cricket he still starts his innings like a novice out in the middle there,the way he got out, the failures he had comparatively given chances to any batsman in the world in any country cricket history. It is that we should move on, our cricket should look forward to the guys who are well suited at this level. Because for those innings we deprived ourselves from every years special innings from someone else who could give us every year more frequent eid in place of Ashraful, which will benefit our pride our team.

If Ashraful was that special then how come Lara and Tendu and Ricky ponting scored runs after runs years after years on regular basis, then they should have scored like Ashrafull one eid innings after two three years. It is our delusion we stuck with his here there few innings and entertain ourselves by recalling those innings but never think rationally. Even Tamim, Musfiq, Shakib are far superior batsman than Ashraful considering given chances and performance consistency. So, lets move on !!

Ashraful only to blame none but himself, he has wasted ten years, even if he was in Zimbabwe team he would have been in the list of fossil players, he would never last long in that team !! I think Asharful shouldn't be sad if someone better take his place, because Ashraful himself made inroad for others by wasting ten damn years!!

বলেছিলাম না, আশরাফুলকে দরকার? অথচ সত্য কথা বলার অপরাধে আমাকে কত কথাই না শোনতে হল। আমার ক্রিকেটজ্ঞান ও ক্রিকেটপ্রজ্ঞা কোন মানের, এবারে বুঝলেন? আবার প্রমাণিত হল, প্রাজ্ঞের কথা পুরাতন হলেই প্রমাণিত হয়।

সেই কবে থেকে ওকালতি করে আসছিলাম আশরাফুলের হয়ে। দেশে যদি ক্রিকেটার বলতে একজনও থাকে, সেটা সে। অথচ তাকে উপেক্ষা করে গেল ক্রিকেটজ্ঞানহীন কোচ ও অধিনায়ক। দুটো ম্যাচে খেলতে দিল যেন দয়া করে। তারা কেন বুঝে না, ব্যাটিং করার সময় যেমন সেটল হতে আশরাফুলের সময় লাগে (যদিও সেটল হবার আগেই সে প্যাভিলিয়নমুখী হয় বরাবর), একইভাবে তাকে দলে অভ্যস্ত হতে সময় দিতে হবে না? দেশের সর্বকালের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ব্যাটসম্যানকে এভাবে অবহেলা করে প্রকারান্তরে আমরা অবহেলা করছি দেশের ক্রিকেটকে।

একটা যুগ ছিল, যখন বাংলাদেশের ম্যাচ জেতা আর আশরাফুলের ব্যাটিং সমার্থক ছিল। এর পরে গুচ্ছের ম্যাচ উইনার এসেছে, কিন্তু তাই বলে আশরাফুলকে ভুলে যেতে হবে? ম্যাচের পর ম্যাচ নাহয় খারাপ পারফরমেন্সই করল সে, তাই বলে তাকে দলের বাইরে রাখতে হবে? ৪০-৫০ ম্যাচ খেললে অন্তত একটিতে সে অবদান রাখতে পারবে, তা নিয়ে সন্দেহ আছে? অথচ এই সুযোগ থেকেও তাকে বঞ্চিত করা হচ্ছে। ফল দেখুন হাতেনাতে।

লেখার মাধ্যমে দলের ভেতরে কোন্দল বাধিয়ে, সাকিবকে আচ্ছামতে পেঁদিয়ে আমি আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করে গেছি আশরাফুলকে খেলানোর। কিন্তু গুটিকয়েক ক্রিকেট-অর্বাচীনের হঠকারী সিদ্ধান্তে বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেট আজ হুমকির মুখে। সেখান থেকে উত্তরণের পথ দেখাতে পারে একমাত্র আশরাফুল। এই একজন ক্রিকেটারই আমূল বদলে দিতে পারে বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটকে। অন্য কেউ নয়।

বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেটে ইতিহাস হয়ে যেতে আশরাফুলের বেশি দেরি নেই। নাফিস হয়তো আরো সুযোগ পাবে, কিন্তু শুভাগতর পারফরম্যান্স দলে জায়গা পোক্ত করার আভাস দিচ্ছে। আশরাফুলও সেটা জানে। দলে ফিরলে নাফিস-জুনায়েদ বা রিয়াদের জায়গায় ফিরতে হবে। তবে রিয়াদের জায়গায় কাপালীও যে প্রতিদ্বন্দী।

In test Ash will be a trusted name after what he performed in Zimbabwe.
Hopefully this will let him in the team for a long time.

And in ODI and T20 anyone's bad performance will bring him back in team.
Ash is still young and cricket genius. He will not disappoint his fans.
