81 by Tamim Iqbal
What a nice innings of 81 by Tamim Iqbal. Still BD is 178 all out! Bangladesh needs some workout.

WTG Tamim Iqbal Khan, now learn to convert these 50s into 100s soon ...

I hope we get another good innings from him in this series, which is unusual for a Bangladeshi batsman.

Tamim played a superb knock today, while Junaid and Ashraful seemed like street cricketers to me when they were batting.

actually I have noticed Tamim has scored 40+ in at least one match in every series since the India series...he was the only positive in a boring,one-sided and disappointint match

After the 20/20 world cup, all the fans here were writing off Tamim. They wanted him in the U19 team. What a surprise turnaround for this young cricketer, he looks to be the most Valuable player. He has reinvented himself with the Coach's help and he will be a very good, consistent batman for BD. He has that will and determination to succeed against quality bowling. BD has found a fearless opening bat. I hope that he gets his century soon. It has eluded him in a test and now here.

Tamim definitely has the ability to stay in the wicket. If his strokes and consistency is always there, Tamim's career would look like this: Matches- 100 Innings- 100
Not Outs- 15 Runs-5700 Average-67.05! 50s- 25 100s- 10 HS-175*.

those are states look really good. but he never got going after scoring 50s. even for yesterday, he just needed to stay at the crease.
he is a good prospect but he has temperament problem.
and this thread shows how bad we are as a team.

If Tamim put his head down played for 100 Bd would have had 230 having said it probably wouldn't have enough.

Too bad we cannot rejoice his 82. I think he will be a consistent 30 avg guy in the future.

Isn't that we used to dream bout SN and story goes other way..
anywayz it was a good inning by him just need to cool down a 'lil bit' can converts this 80z to 100z. when he was at 80z I was scared coz at 80 something happens n he tends to out. Also happen in NZ.
