Its time to get ridoff S.N. Zunaid needs to be back. I am impressed with Rokibul's batting!! And was also impressed with Sakib's CAPTAINCY in the both warmup matches.(I think this is the ist time we drew and tied against a mighty team like S.A.)
BTW my squad for the 3rd ODI as follows Batting order)
Tamim
Zunaid
Sakib
Rokibul
Nazim
Ashraful
Dhiman
Farhad
Mashrafee
Razzak
Rasel

Why bringing Farhad now. They are doing pretty good without him. Let the fools continue to play.
I suggest adding one more batsman (droping all rounder Sakib) to further pad our Captain's rear.

Nazim should not be in the squad, he has failed in T20 and here on debut. Maybe Riyad.
Please no expectations here, and we should not predict how many runs BD is going to score. let us just wait and see and hope for the best.

Nazim was looking good yesterday only to get out by LBW. He should play as long as we don't have aftab. Mosharraf H Rubel should go, and farhad or riyad should play. Without a player like Aftab or Nazim we wiuld be in our backfoot in defense.
Absolutely no expectation. Infact, I would go as far as to say not to expect anythin better than the earlier 2 ODIs. Siddons is trying out some new rhings, and it will take some more time for these boys to adapt.

It is a pity that Siddons is trying out new things and it has affected two tours against strong opponents, IMO, siddons should also allow the lads to play their natural game, it will take time to change their batting technique as we can see here.
Also, last year, BD played Sri Lanka better in the ODIs. they managed to bowl out SL. here they cannot bowl out SA, so either it is their bowling or the pitch which looks more conducive to SA bowling.

You don't bowled out a decent team when you set up a target of 200 or less. When you set up such a low target, forget about getting all the wickets, even if you have world class bowlers.

I will make only one change in the team. Forhad comes in for Rubel. He should've come in earlier but I guess better late than never.

What Siddons is doing is for longterm, and I think these steps are being taken to make significant improvement for WC 2011. We are having all kinds of proble since these basic and techniques are not fixed when these players were in age group level. BCB should take notice start similar program in age group and A team. Players should be ready when they get to national team. You don't want to make players when they are already in the national team. But considering that we are an emerging nation, this was expected. I am glad that Siddons is doing the hard work.
About bowling, I don't know what's happening. Our pacer are lacking aggression. I have a feeling they are low in confidence, if you give the bowlers a total under 200 this is how they feel. They are likely to give up before starting to bowl. So, there is not too much wrong with bowling I would say, its just Masri who needs to fire back.

I would go for same playing XI.
Rubel bowled quite well, 10-0-34-0 doesn't warrant an exclusion.

Too much experiment with the squad is the main reason for this poor performance.

We should field first and try to contain their innings around 230 and then chase like Cardif!!!

No frills match thread, at least for now. Will add more info soon.

I think the match threads should remain this way; undecorated like our team performance. We should continue this till they learn how to play.

You are both right. Its more of a psychological thing. Anything under 220 doesn't motivate our bowlers at all to fire them up!

Zunaid for Nazim. Its unfair on Nazim, but, dropping Zunaid was equally unfair, if not more. I guess Aftab won't play. So, sticking with SN at no.3, followed by Raqib at no.4. I think he is solid and cool enough to play at no.4, but, not ideal for no.6 ( nobody is in this squad ) where you do need some power to accelerate. I will put Ash at 5. Sakib at 6, Farhad must come in at 7. This Rubel is average. Rafiq's recommendation has simmilar IQ. Example the run out when he turned like a blinded Mule. Get rid of him. We already have Raj. Sakib & Farhad would have to pick up the extra overs. Dhiman at 8. No 9 Raj .10,11- Mash, Rasel.

We will score around 160 the 3rd time around ... regardless of batting first or second.

Please, no forecasts and expectations. We must not second guess how many runs BD will score, this jinx the team and we fans get upset if BD dont reach the target we have set for them.
Hope for the best, but expect the worst, we may be pleasantly surprised.
We do not want to go through heartbreak each time the team fails, so we have to go along for a rough ride.
