Prothom-Alo had a nice interview with Ashraful today. Vabhlam apnader sathe o share kori.

He talked about many things here. About his captaincy, form, team chemistry and other issues/rumors.

i like how he said..he shud be able to talk in his own style..which is cool and all...but talking in ur own way doesn't mean to make fool out of urself..for example..blaming rakibul for the batting collapse in 2nd ODI

Hmm...sounds like he needs a bit more time to get used to the pressures that come with captaincy. He doesn't seem fully comfortable yet.

But I agree that all you can do when you're down is to keep on working as hard as you can - getting bogged down is not an option.

Just a point - we've all seen Ashraful in interviews. This interview did not have one single 'direct' qoute from him, if you know what I mean. This is not how he sounds.

"Talent" is what GOD gives you, "application" is what you give back to GOD.

Ash needs to remember that.

Good interview. I like the simplistic approach he has, for the solution to the current problems of the team. "Improve batting, win games; other problems will automatically die down."

He should not take prerona from the opponents sledging 'if he is out the team is out". That inspires him to play a heroic innings from the first ball. He should think that none is indispensable in the team. Then he will probably get more prerona to stay in the wicket.

Everyone here knows that inspite of Ash's bad spell at the moment, i still believe in him.I still remember him as a sweet young 17 yr old in Colombo scoring his maiden century and jumping up with joy., he had everyone standing and cheering him and he lapped it up, from since then, I became a life long fan of his.

Can someone please translate an overview of this interview for a non-Bangladeshi who is a die hard fan. Thank you.

Atlast from this interview, I found the information that I was looking for ... that is who is the scapegoat for his failure in 3rd ODI.

So this time its Coach's turn.... Siddon Betyee Choor....

I friendly reminder to Ash. This is not a smart strategy Ash. Siddon is no "Belal Bhai" nor is he "rookie Rokibul".... so don't make enemy from whom you will need help to stay in the team in future.
