Why is Malinga NOT playing?
BTW, it's 137-1 now, watching live on Ten Sports, and Malinda Warnapura's just as good as I thought he'd be ...
The pitch isn't offering much to the Windies bowlers, but Taylor managed to take BD basher MVD, and the SLA Sulieman managed to turn the ball on occasion.
SL will win this one BIG Inshallah, with Sanga also looking good in the middle.

Srilanka are batting too cautiously or should I say sensibly. This is the middle of second day with no weather disraption till now and they have managed to score 384/6.

Good over from Magina Thilan Thushara Mirando, what a great bowling pipeline the Lankans must have.
19.2 Mirando to Smith, OUT, Thushara gets the first breakthrough, Thushara lands that just outside off and gets it to straighten, the ball keeps lower than Smith expected and a lazy waft away from his body results in a thin edge to Prasanna Jayawardene. There was no doubt about that edge
DS Smith c HAPW Jayawardene b Mirando 14 (43b 0x4 0x6) SR: 32.55

If Sarwan & Samuel dont build a big partnership they will be in trouble.
This pitch in Providence Guyana is spin friendly as we have already found out from Bangladesh V Saffers last year.
I can imagine Murali is licking his finger with Big Grin on his face and pair of eyes that is bigger than cricket ball. That is a frightening sight for any batsmen.

Right you are MC, although I'm not so sure about Marlon, as gifted as he is and as capable as he can be.
Laigga jaiteo pare, nao jaite pare ...
Chandra will do better as always.

You are right Sohel Bhai Marlon can get impatient and try to take risk. No doubt about his talent but too much doubt about his game plan. Very much Ashrafool like dont you think?

Ash, Marlon and Pakistan's Imran Nazir are all like that.
And he's GONE ! Tushara gets another one.
58-3 and Chandra's in.
If the Lankans can break this partnership before it forms, they'll have this match in the bag by lunch on day 5 at the latest.

25.1 Mirando to Samuels, OUT, poor shot by Samuels... Thushara drifts really wide outside off and gets it to shape away, Samuels stays rooted to the crease and tries to glide that wide of the slips, he gets a thick edge to Prasanna who falls to his right and cups it with both hands. It was not a wicket-taking delivery, just a very poor shot
MN Samuels c HAPW Jayawardene b Mirando 5 (24m 19b 1x4 0x6) SR: 26.31

Bummer. I saw him bat rather well in the Stanford 20/20. Wavell did OK too. I feel he needs to come back and rekindle that opening partnership with the Caribbean Sehwag.
DS is really ordinary as is Parchment.
67-3, trailing by 409 and not looking too hot.
