Pakistan announce tour itinerary for Bangladesh series

Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan is indeed a blessing in disguise for us.
Most likely Pakistan will experiment with youngsters that they did against Zimbabwe.

With Asif not fully fit and Shoaib unknown factor, Pakistan will lose a bit of sting in their pace attack.

Never mind they have Umar Gul and Sohail Tanveer who are wicket takers and deadly as well.

Our batters have to devise ways to negotiate them and avoid collapses which has been their routine feature against top quality pace attacks.

I am sure coach Siddons has a lot of tricks up his sleeve to impart to our batters.

Undoubtedly Nafees, Junaid and Aftab has improved much under Siddons. All these three has improved in terms of staying at the wicket or grafting for a much longer time than before and also playing along the ground then on the air which were their trademarks before.

My disappointment is Ashraful and the golden boy Rahim . Both these player’s performances have deteriorated under Siddons. It appears as Ashraful once revealed that it will take sometime to adapt to New coach’s directions.

If Siddon fails to rectify mistakes of these otherwise talented players BCB should hire/sent them to Batting consultants to rectify their shortcomings. Some names that come to my mind include : Naseer Hussain(England), Dravid ( India – Most technically correct batsman), Martin Crowe( Newzeland Master craftsman) and Zaheer Abbas(Pakistan).

This is not to undermine Siddons who himself was a Batting Coach of Australia.

The big question is 2 full series –Newzealand and South Africa. What has been the performance of Ashraful and Rahim. ? Very pathetic indeed.

The coach is suppose to rectify shortcomings in a player’s technique .

Bangladesh at least has now entered in winning mode albeit against Ireland.

But the good thing is the top order has done very well along with one down and two downs.

We don’t expect miracles against Pakistan. But our countrymen at least expects a fight and not throwing away wickets .

Who knows they might turn out to be Giant Killers this time and in one day cricket anything can happen .

Our prayers and blessings are with Bangladesh team

It'll Take us another 5 years to be able to bat Respectably in Conditions like the ones in New Zealand and with Steyn bowling the way he did it's was some what understandable except for the lefties chasing wide balls.

I think if we'll bat well in this series and win a few games, I'm hearing grumbling in the Pak camp about Lawson not wanting Afridi or Yousef in the ODI team which would a good news cause Afridi is a good player in all 3 Aspects of ODI cricket, Bat Ball and Fielding and Yousef is just pure Class.
