Default The Ashrapullers

Ladies and Gents,

This thread is in honor of all the fools (like myself) that are fans of the Ashrapull. Thank you for the overwhelming response - since the BC PM system only allows me to message 5 people at a time, I got bored after PMing 50 people or so, but looks like some of you have spread the word, and others have succumbed to bad company. Thank you all.

Please note that this - while easily my worst ever - is by no means a bashing thread (well, maybe indirectly) - so please, let's try to keep galagali to a minimum.

So why do you, fool, like the Ashrapull? What is it that keeps you up late at night, night after night, watching something like this:

?

If you would like to become an Ashrapuller, please change your avatar to the image above.

Welcome home comrade!

very good question which i asked myself a few times over the last few days. the answer, inevitably is because we have seen a couple of these:

It's not that we like or love him too much. We all are cricket fans.. This is the only game where we play in the highest level. Ash showed very good promises at the start. He has tremendous shot playing capability and we all though we got some one like Tendulkar. Years after years, we have been waiting to see our kid Tendular getting matured. But it didn't happen that way and we got frustrated down to hell. That's the story in short.

Im not going to comment on him, until after the series.

Maybe he just needs to slap someone.

coach needs to understand that Ash is a anda gunda type player. he learned his shots watching people playing on the TV. its like some bd people loves to dance that they learned watching Hindi movies. it might be perfect for that situation or dance but since he doesn't knows the grammar he can do it when the floor is not right and if the bowler doesn't know that he is an anda gunda player. Bad for us that most of the teams have figured it out and they give some balls or situation that he never saw in the TV before and gets out(for example he saw in TV bouncer and next ball would be full hence he plays his paddle shot, but now they sends bouncer bouncer bouncer and he says wait that is not right and gets out...)

Whether he will ever mature as a batsman is a difficult question, because just like the monkey on the oiled up bamboo shoot, he seems to take a couple of steps back every time he shows hints of progress.

It's his soft skills that worry me - the way he dissed Raqibul after that game against South Africa, and how he claimed that the batsmen had done well after the 152 run defeat the other day. He just doesn't seem to get it.

Yay a thread full of Ashrapullers! Should be a treat to the eyes once we have all the avatars on the same page/thread.

He is a nonsense Puller and that's making him and his fans look Fooler.

But still on his eid day, even his foolish shots makes sense. He is an amazing character. I still like him. He is supposed to have atleast one eid day in Pakistan. That day we will forget everything for next 3 months. Slogans: "East or west, Ash is the best".

Wheather we abuse him or adore him, He is still a great time pass for many of us. I still like him for the past and expecting some chomotkar with bat at any moment.

Asaad,
Even if you didn't receive the PM you should know something is brewing. Change the avatar and join us. Else I second Eshen.

the two solutions i see of this situation are -

1. ashraful puts his head down and works hard at the crease for runs. every single delivery he faces he plays with the intention of keeping it on the ground, with a straight bat, with the correct technique that i hoped he learned from his guru wahidul goni.
2. we drop him.

Shovon13 bhaia,
You need to have a ticket to post in this thread. (Ashrapull avatar is the secret code to get a ticket)

I was just about to post that. Not quite a pull, but the same result nevertheless.
