Default Separate teams & separate captains for Tests and ODIs

What do you think guys? Is it time for Bangladesh to have a separate captain for tests and ODIs, and a separate team for tests and ODIs in some cases? Besides it also helps us as well as the selectors to and the players to play a certain type of cricket continuously, so that the players won't think of playing like One Dayers in a test match and vice versa. There is the disadvantage of "Rafique" issue that if he was chosen for Tests, then may be he could have taken 50 wickets by now, but it gives some food for thought.

If we choose a separate captain, then Oracle's 'ideal team' in another thread makes out a good test team. I am just copying his 'ideal choice' from the other thread:

However if we want to speculate here is my ideal line up:

2Nafis-he should get a chance
3Javed-Moniruzaman-he should be tried asap.
8rafiq (c)
11tapash-enamul jr.

The following players may be played in both versions of the game:

1) Hannan Sarkar
2) Habibul Bashar - considering that he performs in ODIs as well
3) Rafique
4) Pilot - or maybe look for a new keeper who is a better batsman for ODIs along with being a good keeper? - Anwar Hossain is not an option here right now since his keeping lacks accuracy.
5) Mashrafee
6) Tapash

The following players could be solely one day specialists: (well, Mushfique is, or had been a one day specialist until Whatmore had seen a test-player in him)

1) Khaled Mahmud (c)
2) Mushfiqur Rahman
3) Naimur Rahman - considering that he's selected

If this idea had been taken earlier, then we might have seen Aminul Islam playing in all the test matches and no one day matches for him and Akram Khan playing in only one day matches and no test matches for him. The disadvantage in that case, if Bangladesh had gotten test status earlier than the year 2000, we would have never discovered what a fine captain Aminul Islam is, for the one dayers.

The advantage is that we would never have let ourselves in trouble like we are in now, when Khaled Mahmud, or previously when Naimur Rahman - who are simply 'one day specialists' - making them captains in both test and one day cricket.

Anyway, these are all speculations and although some of these are being sometime taken into consideration by different selectors or not, I don't think that this is something in Dave Whatmore's mind, particularly now. For example, we all have been discussing that Alok Kapali should have been discarded from the test squad for his poor performance in tests, but he is continuing to be in the test team over the last 3 tours.

It is certainly no harm speculating on the composition of 2 teams. However, even with this set up there are many players who will view ODI as a relegation. Just read Vikram Solanki's Q&A article where he clearly feel that his ODI slot is a stepping stone for a test place.
If this is one way to keep BD players from losing touch with internatiional match practice, why not.
The problem with the team i chalked up earlier is that:
a) The captain issue is,nt settled as you pointed out.
b) The unease and uncertainity remains of how the rookies are going to perform at int. level, i.e Nafees, Miniruzaman etc

Lastly, just as a thought is'nt it more expensive to have 2 teams. Is it affordable?
