Good to see Dhiman won't be sent home after the Ireland leg.

There are three changes in the team from the initial selection - Alok Kapali (now a national team player), Jahurul Islam (exam), and Shamsur Rahman (exam) have been replaced with Rajin Saleh, Farhad Hossain, and Saghir Hossain.

Doesn't really make sense that Junaid is captain while Saleh and Rasel are in the team. Anyway decent team although some key players are unavailable they should beat Ireland A and even Ireland comfortably.

Unless otherwise exceptional consistent performances
These players should keep on playing for A teams for number of tours to get chances
As if they are brought to national sides without proper experiences
Failure is bound to happen without any excuses.

I can't help thinking that if Kapali was in this squad, he'd be captaining the side. wt do you reckon?

Though it goes without saying, he'd much rather be playing for the senior side...

Ireland rocked by O'Brien injury
Cricket Ireland
21 June 2008

Irish all rounder Kevin O'Brien has suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Middlesex Seconds, and faces a race against time to be fit for the European Championships and Twenty20 World Cup Qualifiers.
He is likely to be out for between 3-4 weeks, which means he will miss the games against Bangladesh 'A' next week, as well as the ODI's against New Zealand and Scotland in Aberdeen at the start of July.
He was due to captain Ireland 'A' in a 3 game at Trinity starting on Monday. His place will be taken by Andrew Balbirnie, as original 12th man for the game Shane Getkate is returning to the Warwickshire Academy after the Lashings games on Sunday. No replacement captain has been named yet, with Irish coach Phil Simmons waiting until after the games on Sunday to assess form and fitness.
He will also name his squads for the full Irish games against Bangladesh 'A', and the ODI's in Aberdeen on Monday.
William Porterfield and Gary Wilson are required by their counties this weekend, and there are doubts over the availability of both Jeremy Bray and Andrew Britton, who both have Senior games with their clubs scheduled for Sunday.
I would like to see full strength Irish squad looks like half of there squad is missing which is not good for our players.

1. Zunaed Siddique
2. Imrul Kayes
3. Rajin Salah
4. Naeem Islam
5. Dhiman Ghosh
6. Nadif Chowdhury
7. Sohrawordi Shuvo
8. farhad hossian
9. Rubel Hossain
10. Mahbubul Alam Robin
11. Syed Rasel

wasn't sure on the batting order, farhad could bat at 4 i guess and drop the rest down a slot, i think rubel's pace could be an advantage in a t20 match, especially against minnows who aren't use to facing quick bowling.

Rubel has to improve his bowling discipline by a lot to be considered for this format.

all BD bowlers need to improve tbh, this tour should be used to give players experience and the chance to learn, they can't do that if they don't play the matches.
