Default Turkish News features Bangladesh

Quote:
Interestingly, Turkish and Bengali share many words, but these are two nations that know very little about one another, despite so much in common.

The love for Turks and for Turkey appears to persist in Bangladesh. Two boulevards in the cities of Dhaka and Chittagong have been named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, and signs carrying the boulevard’s name bear a one-sentence explanation of who Atatürk was. Dhaka also has the Atatürk Tower, located on the boulevard named after Atatürk. The admiration for Atatürk is also reflected in the fact that one of the large high schools in Bangladesh is also named after him and that one of the nation’s most famous poets wrote a piece of poetry titled “Kemal Pasha.”

Very few Turks reside in Bangladesh. Outside of the Turkish diplomatic team, there are around 100 Turks who live here. Of these, around 70 are teachers and their families.

BD army got a good bilateral relationship with Turkish army. They often exchange officers for training programs.

I have a friend whose father worked in Turkish Air force intelligence for several years. He was born in Turkey n interesting thing is his mother had a food shop at Kamal Atarturk Avenue named 'Dahlias'

This article failed to mention that we usually refer to Turkish as "half pant pora Muslim" as oppose to us bangaldehis who are "lungi pora Muslim".

There is a Turkish School in Dhaka where my 4 year old nephew goes to. Anyone else goes there (or has relatives)?

Turkish Hope International School
My kid sister used to go there, but that was way back.
I think she had her year 1 and 2 over there.
Last time i heard, the school is pretty good.

Yeah Turkish Hope. The government allotted the khelar maath behind my high school for them to construct their school building! Boo!
