ok may be the crowd is shouting ...in India or Pakistan crowd also shouts ...why they play atleast a decent innings rather we can';t even score 10 runs....in this earth there is nuthing ez way out...whoever makes mistakes has to get punishment or face reality...bd team's time has come they deserve punishment

Now lemme ask something... he himself isnt performing in any form of the game... who decides when he goes??? And his ommission even doesnt need any justification when it happens... really this was a very very very crappy interview from the captain... he sucks... he shud be driven away from the BD team... never to return... and I mean NEVER... let him play ordinary cricket, the likes that he deserves... he is an ordinary cricketer and thats where he shud go back to... however good a guy, motivator he is... dont care anymore... his motivation never wins any matches...

Sujon as a captain is also voicing the thoughts of the "Thinktank", including Dave. So it is not entirely his decision that Sumon is'nt playing for the 2nd ODI.
Actually Sujon's glory days might be in the future, still related to BD cricket. Maybe as a team manager?

There is. We still haven't gone all out for our lowest score in this one day series yet, but we came close to that twice.

It makes me wonder sometimes that a team cannot go all out for 77 - exactly on the same score twice in the same year ( just for the record, BD's lowest total is 76 all out - scored in the same year as well), well that has happened to Bangladesh. And it can happen, very soon.

scoring the lowest total isnt the measure for being the worst team... believe me there isnt any way we can get worse... such a long looosing streak is enuf to prove that we suck...

people might argue that Srilanka and Zimbabwe took a long time to get settled in world cricket... but honestly... they never got as much exposure as BD does... cricket was a normal sports then... cricket wasnt what it is now... lot of cricket is being played nowadays... even minnows like us are booked with tours... Bangladesh er moton eto khela paile they wud have made their name way earlier than they did...

Its a shame that we are proving to the world how bad we are... and we have only ourselves to blame... no proper way to create players... Short ball ashle batsman himshim khai... dorkar hoile cement er pitch e ball korao if it doesnt bounce on normal pitch... jeibhabe hok short ball khela shikhao... batting pare na batsman... jor koira sharadeen batting shikhao... they earn their life from cricket... bhalo na parle taka dibe keno? Its a basic rule... u get paid for ur qualities and work... and if u dont work u dont get paid... simple... and our players aint working now... I loved this quote from Mahmud... just cant help myself from not commenting... People will cheer... and thats what motivated teams to do good... not put them under pressure to do bad... People thanks the fan for cheering them after wins... People shud start booing at him soon.. what will he do then... run away from the field??? if he promises that he will perform really well in front of an empty stadium with no freaking fan I am sure all the fans will oblige him... we want a win if that means we dont have to look at the whole damn match and keep our captain ''pressure free'' its a really small price to pay... I feel this way... someone pls correct me if I am wrong...

after a long time, that was a nice long rant that made sense, thanks radical...

In looking for scapegoats, they will drop sumon, tapash, rafique, pilot, javed - whoever it takes. fickle fans will call for the whole team to be dropped. Yet what is most ironic is that sujon, the man who does the most damage with his presence on the team, cannot be touched. yes, to the sujon apologists, enough already. he does the most damage because he occupies a place that should go to a better batsman or a better bowler. The others simply don't perform from time to time. Sujon not only doesn't perform ever, but he ensures we always play with 10.

Dav Whatmore should stop the BS he is feeding us and start with Sujon after this series. But leave the rest alone, they will be fine. That cement track is not a bad idea...

My take on sujon's comment about the crowd. Did it occur to him that some of the jeering was aimed directly at HIM ? If you were at the stadium and Sujon was going for the toss or he was batting horribly, wuldn't you be jeering as well ? Heck, everytime his name is mentioned, I'm pretty sure some folks will get carried away and BOOOOOOO him out.

He could have easily avoided this by simply stepping down. He is just being GREEDY and holding on to a spot he SHOULD KNOW that he doesn't deserve. He is the worst player in the worst (at this moment) team in the world and he has the nerves to say that he is performing well.

I really don't feel any sympathy for him. I guess I should, but I don't.

He couldn't even duck the crowd how could ever dream of facing Flintoff? Fan's pressure is always built-in; it was there before, it is now and it will be there tomorrow.
