Default Super Bowl XLIII

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread about this yet! Steelers are up 17-7 on the Cards at halftime thanks to an amazing 100 yard Interception return from James Harrison! I'm rootin for the Cards. Go Cardinals!!!!

I hate American football, but usually watch Superbowl for the ads / half time show.

But this year they made it annoying with the damn 3D ads... hurts my eyes. :X

What an amazing finish!!! Steelers win in the final minute 27-23. I'm tired right now so I'm off to sleep. I'll post more on this later.

Well, there IS a thread by Gopal Bhar called Create your own Super Bowl Ads under Forget Cricket section. There you can discuss SuperBowl ad to your heart's content. But please be mindful of hurting other's feelings.

Ki jey hoiye galo....

One play killed the game for the Cardinals.

Congrats on the sixth Lambardi trophy. 2nd Black coach to win it. Tony Dunge can go fishing now in peace.

ya i saw that thread but I meant a thread on the actual game not the commercials lol.

Btw, I felt that this year the Commercials were not as funny as usual. Probably due to the recession...

im guessing this is something to do with american football or baseball rubbish, both of which i regard as the worst sports in the world and only followed by people with IQ scores below 100 i.e americans

A caveman can follow Cricket or Rugby

It takes a person of high intellect to be able to follow and understand the rules of Baseball and the NFL

Actually cavemen were geniuses. They invented fire, clothes, wheel, religion and even Picasso commented after storming out of Lascaux that modern artists have learnt nothing.

Uh ... I take it you have never seen a football or baseball game due to your egregiously massive intelligence?

On topic:

WHAT A FREAKIN' GAME. The Cardz, going in as huge underdogs, gave the Steelers a great run for their money. I was rooting for ARZ, but oh well.

P.S. That 100 yd TD by Harisson ... priceless.

In NFL coach composes through speaker while QB conducts a symphony while being connected to Reality.....kinda like Eagle Eye.

u must be joking!

the name american football is messed up to start off with. All i see it as, its a woosies version of rugby.

baseball is another dummy version of cricket which has also like american soccer failed to reach the world stage.

Pardon my ignorance, but these two games are followed and played mainly in the states and the lack of glamour and 'wow' factor in these sports have resulted in failure in a world wide audience. Here in the UK, american soccer is played like cricket is played argentina.

well i have played a bit of baseball and watched some games and didnt really enjoy that much, was quite disappointed and dont know what all the hype is about.

Yeh ive seen many football games, I love it!
but i think ur referring to american soccer or football as u guys call it. Again, its just a glorified version of rugby where they cover themselves with padding and helmets chasing after a loaf of bread.

Cricket < Baseball Worldwide

Cricket Has 10 Major Cricket Crazy Nations (If you want to include Zimbabwe) & Associates and the subcontientnt is reponisble for 70% of the Audience.

ICC can't even get Cricket in London the so called Birthplace of Cricket. Baseball has been played in the Olympics.

In it's 1st Year the World Baseball Classic was a Success, Even Australia (0-3) pushed heavyweights Venezuala and the Dominican Republic to tight games.

Troll Alert! Seriously though, you might want to stop pretending like the typical jealous European. Judging from a lot of your posts, you're one of those people who consider themselves more British than Bangladeshi...and thats perfectly fine by me. But all this Anti-American bashing seems a wee bit forced to me...Almost like you're looking around the forums for threads to bash them in. If you dont like American Football, move along and post somewhere else. No need to try to rile everybody up...

By the way, just because you seem to be so intent on acting like them...you might want to know that a lot of Brits live for American pop culture. You say "American Soccer" has the popularity of cricket in Argentina? The last game in Britain drew a crowd of over 83,000 (Not that anyone here cares, i just looked it up right now because you intrigued me)...
