It's unfortunate with Saleh and Enamul. Rajin just got picked after a very long time. If he was given the opportunity, he would have made a fine opening partner to Tamim.
I suppose we should not expect a miracle right away if we bring back Enamul either. I feel bad for these guys.

Captan Mohammad Ashraful needs another 78 runs to reach 2000 run mark. Can he do that in this test?

having an opener down the order is paying off for BD..both these batsmen are used to playing the new ball.

Why is it your day if you dont lose anymore wickets, you have 140 runs? The first four batsmen saw to that

Billah bhai, as I said, there are some players from whom 200% is expected every time they play. Their injury, comeback, exclusion from the team....nothing is taken into consideration.
Both Saleh and Enamul Jnr have always been in and out of the team. Fortunately Saleh still managed to maintain his average of 30 until it was seriously dented by his triple duck.
And the remaining 9 overs are going to decide the winner of the first day. Allah rohom koro.

another 45 minutes left, so some runs will also be added. Also then we will have the chance two bat 2 more sessions tomorrow then. It will make NZ in the field for 5 sessions in this scorching heat. Mind it, they will surely be tired for fielding that long. Also pitch at the end of second day tend to deteriorate a bit.
So, we will surely take if we loose only 4 wickets.

Dont know really, cant rely on any other opener than Tamim. Next innings we may see Rajin falling after playing few balls, hope I am wrong though.

these days; u hardly ever see a test match go the distance. so IMO it's a victory for the batting side if the manage to finish the day losing only 4 wickets; regardless of the score. maybe a more experienced side would have scored 200, we'll end up scoring 165-175. those 25-35 runs are insignificant in determining the winner for the day.

Man I was a bit angry to see Mhrb jnr in the team.
I had no expectations from him.
But now.....

A normal score would of been 250+ for batting out a day

i have changed my whole opinion on jnr, he seems like a prospect worth looking into. everybody else has struggled and he has found it so easy to bat on. Mushi is providing more than adequate support

Mehrab has played well this O'Brien over. Has has been banging the ball in and Mehrab negotiated that very well.
