Check out his presidential pose.

Faruque and Thinktank are reviewing Sujon after all.

Meanwhile, an Indian national daily, The Telegraph, quoted the Bangladesh Cricket Board president Ali Asghar as saying either Habibul Bashar or Mohammed Rafique would replace Mahmud.

So 3 options so far, and counting.

Looking for Mahmud's substitute is long due. Preparing 3/4 players including atleast one from the younger age group is a definite plus. BCB should have tried one in the last series.

Mushfique will be the captain for the \'A\' team, right?
Mushfique will be the captain for the BD 'A' team, right? Not for the National team, right?

New Age must be mis-informed like the Bangladesher Khela report earlier.
But I think they are right on one point - Dave would want Mushfique to be the captain of the Bangladesh team.
My personal opinion:
If Dave's opinion is taken, then I am sure that Mushfique's International career will see a premature end. And I don't wanna see that.

I hope it is a rumor.
The new captain should be either Sumon or Rafiq. Any one else must prove his position in the first.

If Sumon and Rafique are not chosen as the replacement captain, then it is not only the the point of "proving position", it also means, that player's whole career will be under jeopardy.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) yesterday formally announ-ced the 15-member Bangladesh A team that will take part in the Patron's Trophy in Pakistan.
As per speculation, all-rounder Mushfiqur Rahman has been named the captain while opening batsman Hannan Sarker will be his deputy.
BD-A SQUAD:
Mushfiqur Rahman ( captain)
Hannan Sarker (vice-captain)
Moniruzzaman
Mazharul Haque
Rajin Saleh
Manjarul Islam
Jamaluddin
Anwar Hossain Munir
Mohammad Ashraful
Ehsanul Haque
Shahriar Hossain
Alamgir Kabir
Tareq Aziz Khan
Mohammad Salim (wicketkeeper) and
Mosaddek Hossain.

They cud have rested Muhfiq and Hannan... these guys been playing a lot of cricket for the past few months and their performances have been satisfactory. I have no complain with the rest of the team... Moniruzzaman has to show what he can do. Ashraful needs to come back to form. Mohammad Selim Needs exposure... its always good to have a wicket keeper lined up. Shahriar Hossain deserves to play. I am assuming this Manjurul Islam is the new guy (ie RANA) and his inclusion is good too.... he proved useful the One Dayers. Yeah overall its a good team... a good place to start experimenting and Dav can keep an eye on these guys for his 10 days in pakistan before he goes home for christmas... Wish he had stayed longer... but Oh well...

Could not agree more with Sami; Mushfique and Hannan are the two players that could have used a rest. However if the BCB is thinking in the line of getting a new captain then it is possibly not as insane as some of the other steps they have taken earlier. I hope these players will get at least one months break from competetive cricket before the Zimbabwe series. Also I hope the players will be rotated sensibly to give the test players enough rest.
