It is a huge day for discount/sales in almost every item but specially in electronics. A lot of the items are marked down as much as 50-70%. Stores open at early morning (5AM) and people wait in line for hours and hours. Some even camp by the store. It marks the beginning of the holiday season shopping here is USA.

Going back to BF, there is a growing backlash against the insanity. Some numbers suggest that the deals actually do not push the merchants into profitability. The customers would have shopped anyway during the holiday season and in fact the deals are hurting their bottom line.

BTW, the reason it is called BLACK Friday is not because of all the bodies littered in front of Walmart, but because this is when merchants move from being in the red to being in the Black. And it is Friday because the sales start after the American holiday of Thanksgiving which falls on the 4th Thursday of November.

Anyways, I was planning on getting a LED TV. It's been over 4-5 years since I bought my current LCD. That fat bastard got so fat over the years. I was looking into LED-3Ds last year, but eff 3D. I am sick and tired of 3D! I just want to watch some regular non-headaching high def TV! 3D and those 100s of new pills are off my list.

But now I'm thinking about getting a Mac Book Pro. Most likely a 15 inch. I could push with my current LCD for couple more years, and LEDs will go down by then.

Defo will get my hands on some MW3, and some other PS3 stuff. One of those new Nikon cam? If I was with Verizon I'd have bought a Droid Razor! That slicky slut looks so slim!

Never left the house before 7 AM. I will never get in line like that! I hate how families camp on the parking lot for weeks. Long time ago I was pulled out of my bed and dragged to Best Buy (the worst place to be after Mexico-Mart). We stood in line, pretty close to the door, or so I thought. It took me lil while to realize that we weren't close to the door, the line went around the Best Buy square box 3 times. So we were on the 4th freaking column! They are lucky I was in middle school and didn't have my licence or else I'd have left them there. That was the last time I did BlackFriday line.

I remember last year some people got free 3D TVs for being the 1st 3 in line at Fry's. It's still not worth it.

I have not been to a Black Friday sale. Ever. Some deals are good, but the primary reason for some of these deals is to get the customers inside. The hope is that they will buy other stuff. I have heard a story of a very pregnant woman camping outside a store from the previous evening. She gave birth a couple of days later.
