Akram Khan Dance!
No, this isn't the famous Khan of Chittagong
 ...He is an Englishman of Bangladeshi descent. I first saw Akram Khan at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003. He performed his "Maa" production to a rapturous audience and left everyone gasping. If I say, I was absolutely blown away by the amazing mix- and I don't use the term loosely- of energetic movements, choreography and music it won't be an exaggeration to the slightest! khan is a brilliant exponent of the kathak dance. a brilliant performer. have seen him at sadlers wells numerous times and his project with the french actress juliette binoche was breathtaking. there was a documentary about him and this impending production a few months ago on the bbc. he once commented that he would give up dance if his mother died. i wish her a very long life!
