In my opinion 5 best cricketer of Bd at this moment

1. sakib al hasan--test and ODI
2. tamim iqbal khan--ODI
3. Mushfiq rahim-test
4. alok kapali--ICL
5. mahmudullah riad--NCL

who do u think is the best at this moment?

lol, i know some one will bring that question, glad its u.

i think ICC will recognize ICl soon and then there will be opportunity for these banned players. But i think his performance was awsome inthe tournament.

anyway this is my fav five list. its not poll, but i think sakib is the best

Tamim is my favourite player but in ODIs also, his recent performance hasn't been extreme!

Best Test Batsman:Mosfiq
Best Test Bowler:Sakib
Best Test and ODI All rounder:Sakib
Best newcomer ODI:Nayeem Islam
Best newcomer Test:Robin

Best overall performer:Sakib Al Hasan

God I really get annoyed when these "best cricketer" threads come in. No one in the team is the "best cricketer". If it was in terms of all round play, Shakib would obviously receive the title. If it was best batsman in ODI or test, Tamim or Ashraful would be our choices. There isn't even a specialist bowler in your 5 choices to speak of, bhai. The question should be on a much broader scale in my opinion.

As for the topic, I definitely think that Shakib would be the best cricketer at the moment followed by Alok.

Arey bhai I wasn't shouting, and I'm quite calm actually. I just don't believe anyone can be the "best player" in a cricket team. There are too many roles to fulfil. And towards the end, I mentioned the key words "my opinion". Hence, I haven't attacked wiseshah's opinion in any way.

i guess at the moment.. the best is definitely sakib.. but in my opinion.. a team cannot just have a "best player" and rely on that person 4 everything.. a team should have a good crop of players who are all very good and who can fulfil their role in the team.. offcourse.. one within those crop of players may/will be the best..

Sakib and Shahadat have been nominated by cricinfo to be test bowlers of the 2008 awards, also Sakib is nominated as a one day batsman,also Mash has been nominated as a one day bowler.

You can read details on cricinfino. At least 3 BD cricketers had their names nominated fro an award.
