Guys at that stage, Rubel had 3 overs left, Shakib and Nayeem had 1 over each. Now had Ashraful given the ball to Shakib to do the 46th over and if no wicket would have had fallen within next 4 overs, then it would have been like this
46th over - Shakib
47th - Rubel
48th - Nayeem
49th - Rubel
50th - ?????? (Rubel again? Huh!
Warning
One bowler can't bowl 2 overs in a row, looool)
Now who would have done the 50th over, if suppose 10 runs were needed, and 2 wickets were still intact? You wouldn't wanna bowl the last over of a close match by a bowler untouched in that match like Riyad or Ash himself, who didn't bowl a single over in that match. That was the reason Ash brought Rubel, because he had to bowl sometimes in the 5 overs anyway.
Yeah, one possiblity was had Shakib done the 46th, he could have got wickets because the run required were still 40 odd, and so Murali wasn't that confident about hitting it. But what if that hadn't have happened? Then we would have been up for taking the black shyt out of Ashraful because of having left the last over with no specialist bowler available.
And another thing that can be said that Ash should have kept Nazmul or Mash for late, but guys, it was us who were screaming for those two pacers, as we thought, same did Ash, that these two can finish it off.
Well, things happen; you can't stop them from happening and I've kinda recovered from the loss..........Let's move on guys, 3-0 against Zimbabwe, next target! Get your armours up and front
