Your team against Zimbabwe
My team -
Tamim Iqbal
Nafees Iqbal
Raqibul Hasan
Mohammad Ashraful
Sakib Al Hasan
Mushfiqur Rahim
Naeem Islam
Mashrafe Mortaza
Arafat Sunny
Nazmul Hossain
Rubel Hossain
12th Man: Mahmudullah
Reserves: Zunaed Siddique, Mahbubul Alam, Enamul Haque
This should be the series where Nafees Iqbal should be allowed to slide back into the team. It's not fair to write off Zunaed while the whole top order (1-4) is struggling, but we need to keep our options open.
Mushfiq, imo, does not have the reflex necessary to be up there in top four. He needs to swap batting positions with Raqibul (who I believe is better equipped for one-down slot).
Sakib is carrying a heavy load as a bowler lately since he is our only specialist spinner in the team now. It will be great if Abdur Razzak comes back, if not then we need to bring in another specialist spinner in the team. My pick is Arafat Sunny, he is an experienced campaigner from domestic leagues, was the leading wicket taker of the last premier league, and has done fairly well in academy one-day matches.

I want to see Nafis Iqbal in the National team. however, he is not ready even against Zimbabwe. he should be playing for A team/academy team atleast one more to gain his confidence.
I really think Imrul should be groomed as an ODI opener. Zunaed is not suitable as of yet, he can be play Test.
Agreed with Eshen Mushy should be played number 6, he is very good playing against spinners. Series against Zimbabwe would be the perfect opportunity to play Rakibul at number 3 to gain his form back.
We can try either Arafat or shuvo for the spinning option.

Rakib should bat at #3, now that he seems to be getting his form back. Mushfiq is literally a walking wicket at #3. I lost count how many times he got bowled when he batted at #3.
+1 to adding a specialist spinner. We need full 60 overs of bowling option

I'd stick to the same squad. I don't think Nafis is ready yet.

The squad is already declared. The squad for the tr-series and Zimbabwe series was declared at the same time. There is no change in the current squad.

Squad can be changed at any time since they are playing at home i believe. Junaed looked very nervous. we really should try playing Imrul Kayes.

sorry for going off topic..... but does anyone have any new updates regarding the talk of our test status being taken away???????? also can anyone please post the upcoming series that are being planned for bangladesh in the future???? i can not find it anywhere......
1) Tamim Iqbal
2) Imrul Kayes
3) Mushfiqur Rahim ( whenever he bats at no. 3 the team does well, and he has scored and has better avg batting at that position. Most importantly team does well)
4) Raqibul Hasan
5) Shakib al Hasan
6) mahmudullah Riyad ( he was looking the most confident batsmen yesterday)
7) Modon Ashraful (I do not want to see him in the top order at #4, he is useless and have no brain to control an innings like a captain is supposed to do. He will hit a ball way outside of offstamp eventhoguh there is 7 fielders in that region, or he will pull a low ball on the middle and leg and get LBW. therefore #6 where he can coem in and do whatever he wants it is a bonus)
8) Naeem Islam
9) MAshrafe Mortaza
10) Nazmul Hossain/ Rubel Hossain/ Mahbubul
11) Nazmul Hosain/ Rubel Hossain/ Mahbubul

I would like to see Shuvo as well. He deserved to be rewarded for performing excellent and taking highest wickets in NCL.

In reply to Gadha, BD Test status is not being threatened at the moment, the FTP is solid until 2012After that time, who knows, ICC is thinking about a 2 tier system.
.
As far as I know, BD is playing a series against ZIM, 5 ODIs against Pakistan. playing the WC 20/20 coming June in England, then off to WI for 2 Tests and 3 ODIs in July, and I think that later in the year they are touring Zimbabwe, then end of year India is visiting for 2 Tests and 3 ODIs.

1) Tamim
2) Nafis(at least tamim will get some instruction 4m borovaia and will not let his own bro to stupid run out)
3) Raqibul (coz Utseya would come early on attack ĂĄnd raqib is solid in spin also can handle slow pacer)
4) Mushfiq da captain( i think as a captain he would better in this pos.)
5) Matha-muta Ash
6) Saqib the rocker
7) Riad
8) Nayeem
9) Shuvo/Rubel( if condition is spin friendly. If wicket like last final then rubel)
10) Mash
11) Nazmul

Our squads should be this one:
Playing XI:
Tamim
Nafis Iqbal
Rakib
Shakib
Ash
Mushy
Naeem
Riyad
Mash
Nazmul
Rubel
12th man:
Shuvo
Reserves:
Zunaed
Mabubul
I would give Shuvo a go in the 2nd match, but if everyone performs well we can give him one match for the series maybe the last one, I dont like bringing so many new players at once. One good thing shuvo should do to adjust to international cricket is by playing as the 12th man for about 2-3 matches an come in as a replacement fielder before making his debut.
