didn't even look rusty after such a long injury gap, simply amazing.

Still a lethal first spell bowler. Still sucks at death. Great to have him back. Nobody gets us early breakthroughs the way he does.

Our pace bowling looked top class in the last 2 matches

Rubel bowled superbly. too good to get an edge. However, after the chest pain he looked a bit out of sorts so can be excused.

Bowled very few bad deliveries even after such a long injury layoff. Hats off to Mash. He is vital for our chances in WC 2015.

It's no coincidence that Rubels best performances have come when Mashrafe was in the playing XI.

Hats off to Mashrafe for shedding all those extra lbs.

Even if he was a 10 Over bowler in Tests, I'd select him in a heartbeat.

nice interview - few excerpts. Respect for mash goes up every day.

Absolute legend for us. Doesn't matter how many matches he has played and wickets he has taken; its his spirit that the youngsters can take so much from. Champion bowler. Phenomenal fielder especially being a pace bowler. Gives it his all. Proves that it is mind over matter with the innumerable comebacks and injuries he has had to deal with. We are lucky to have you, Mashrafe.

I think if he stays fit till January, he may force himself to play test Against SL

As cricman said, if he plays test, he should only bowl with the new ball for 10 overs. then stay out of the field for rest of the day till the new ball again. Its not necessary for him to field

He with the new ball is better than dozens of other pacer we have atm

Are you guys nuts? You want to see Mash bowl in test again, get injured and go out for another couple years. I would rather Mash quit Test for good and keep focusing on ODI/T20. One more serious injury and Mash just might be done for good. It's not worth it. Mash might be able to bowl 10 good overs, but what about his fielding? It's not like he can bowl 10 overs and just seat out the rest of the game. He has to be out there at least 2+ days fielding. I'm not expert but I don't think his injury prone body can handle that kind of workload.

very much agree with Ajfar, I would be happy if MAsh retires from Test cricket & only play ODIs,
besides his Test bowling is not so ahamori, he is a good limited over bowler & we need him to continue.

I wish and hope mash picks 5 wickets Tommorrow, deserves it the most after all that hard work and effort he has put in. Great hero of mine.

Agreed 100%. We have to move on from Mash in Tests. He's just not fit enough for Tests. We have to continue to groom Robiul, Rubel, and Al-Amin for Tests.

not surprised people want mash back in tests, i'd love to have him back in there to but realistically he isn't an option in that format. he's such a gun bowler though and he always seems to comeback bowling exceptionally.

It doesn't matter how many columns you write, how many comebacks you've made, or how many words of wisdom you whisper into Rubel's ear during his walk back to his bowling mark. After so many years of international cricket, there's no excuse for being crap in the death overs. You're a fast bowler, that's what fast bowlers do - bowl in the death. If you can't, you're not doing your job.

Pathetic.

At least he didn't concede 20+. Good sign, I should say.
