Loved those sixes. Reminded me of when he hit 4 consecutive sixes against India. Bowling was good too and set up the match by getting rid of the dangerous Gayle.

His bowling was really impressive today. he swang the ball from the start, got bounce from the dead pitch.

Amazed to see the amount of pace he generated and troubled batsman like Gayle. But can't believe though there are no speed guns in this series.

He is definitely still our best fast bowler. Go to any other countries' forums, be it an westindian one, Pakistani or Indian, they only know one fast bowler from Bangladesh and that's mashrafee/mortaza. It's our great bad luck that he couldn't reach his full potential due to all those injuries. If he had, then I m sure he could've inspired a whole generation of young bangladeshis to become fast bowlers, just as Imran khan once did for Pakistan or even our rafique/ saqib inspired people to become left arm spinners. Just the fact that he is the only player of the ash/Aftab/ Alok era to still be sought after for the team is proof enough what he could have been and still is. May Allah keep him safe from anymore nightmarish injuries.

Agreed, that was a pretty fiery spell of pace bowling from Mortaza. He's definitely getting his mojo back. Mojometer says he's at 85% right now.

Actually he has improved quite a bit since BPL IMO. Probably Ian's training.

I don't think SJ, VS and SM have any hand in this. Good thing MM remembered IP's teachings and has been applying them consistently. All credit goes to IP and that includes Anamul's 100 last night.

Today also Mash bowed really well. Some of his off cutters were very good. He used lot of cutters today. May be as there were lot of lefti.

man I wish Mash himself know how good he is if he can just trust his ability with full confidence. He can hit ball miles, can bowl as he wishes but sometime he seems off to the rhythm or lacking confidence in the middle. But hopefully he just trust his caliber.

The second I saw Samuel's bowling the last over I thought to myself I wouldn't do that if I were you Sammy. I knew right there we were going to have a big over. Mash has always been good at hitting the ball against spinner. Against fast bowler's he is completely clueless.

Just love the heart that he plays with game in and game out despite all the injuries he's had. Carry on Mash!

So what was wrong there? It was good to see him coming back from injury .... And that can only happen if someone has so much desire to play for his country.... it was a simple statement and I thought everyone knows the background...
Don't need to defend playing for self glory, in every thread....Have forgotten that test match... not a very good memory to have...

That's what you think that they play for their self glory.. DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE THAT THEY DON'T HAVE PASSION FOR THEIR COUNTRY ??
I will go in EVERY THREAD, EVERY TIME and try to give the other perspective and support them. I love my country, my team and trust all these boys, EACH and EVERYONE !! I can never ever question their integrity who is representing my country. Before criticizing I think we should learn how to appreciate as well.

Which highlights have Mashrafe's 2 sixes? I can't seem to find them in any highlights videos.

I was surprised to see Sammy bring in a spinner while Mash was at bat. I guess he didn't know what was coming. I was banking on 4 6s at least.
