Recent achievements? well since I haven't exactly achieved a lot apart from doing good in school, I guess one of the achievements for me is, I went through the whole of last week without argueing with my parents xD. Does that count as a pretty good achievement? :P

I use to dislike/hate corolla but now love corolla. Bhaji or with magur mach. (I also drive a corolla, lol)

Only if you knew it is/was good for you. You see, we parents have already gone through what you are going through. We (most, many may be) realise we were naive. Our parents were right. Soon you will realise that too. We didn't have internet or cell phones but we certainly had restrictions that would make us think like "WHY?" or "WHY ME?"

For those who didnt understood what she meant, in Australia, us subcontinental people are called "curry". Only the chinese/korean et all are called Asians, not the whole Asian fraternity.

If i'm not mistaken, in Europe/London or probably even in US, its Asian if you come from anypart of Asia, right?

Well in US/NA.. yea but mostly the subcontinental people are reffered to as brown. Mostly they call the chinese/japanese/korean/etc Asians.

In Canada, Chinese/Japanes/or any other flat nose people are called Asians. Sub-continental people are all referred to as Indians (!).

In NY (not sure if this still happens), any sub-continental people are referred to as Paki (!). Asians are the same as they refer to in Canada.

Corola is bad, but nothing comes close to Potol. I hate it.

Recent achievements? well it hasn't happened yet, but hopefully, in a month and a half after I finish the marathon, I will put that among one of my achievements ! Training hard for it..

In Western Canada -
Asian means only Chinese/ Japanese/ Korean......flat nose (according to Kabir bhai!) people!
Us sub-continent people known as East Indians - don't know why?!!
They said Indian to refer Native People (we called them Red Indian) only!

Atleast thats my understanding after living there for allmost 6 years!

I always love Corolla by the way, not a big fan of Potol though!

Noc,
You forgot your greatest recent achievement. You got married
Dear Niece Antora,
Why you hate Corola (BTW what it is called in English). It is my favorite vegetable. I absolutely hate ladies finger (Dharos) - too sticky. Potol (again what is the english?) with beef is one of the best curry.

Oh! my bad, I thought "curry" was a common term used world wide ...guess i was wrong.
I seriously don't get that though. IF chinese/jap/korean ect people can be asian, why can't we? When I told my friend I was proud to be asian ( for some random reason, forgot the topic we were discussing) she gave me a really weird look and told me I wasn't asian. I practically had to show her on the world atlas that Bangladesh was in Aisa-which clearly makes me asian. She still said I wasn't and when my geography teacher refered to me as Asian, the whole class was like " miss you don't know what Asian means" OMG!!

Let me tell all the Corolla Bhaji fans, I am one too. I have even learnt to make it myself & I love it when I make it.

Korolla with Dal is another tasty variety of corolla.

What's wrong with corola? I love corola bhajji. Same with mishti kumra. Begun and potol aren't that bad, though I wouldn't want to eat it most of the time..
