I think to play U19 cricket you have to be under 19 at the start of the U19 International season. AFAIK the 2009 season began in February with England U-19s tour to South Africa. Rony is 19 years 300 days old at the moment and in February he would've around 19 days 200 days old so I believe he will not be eligible to play for Bangladesh U19s. Mithun maybe eligible as he is only 19 years 40 days old and so will be Rubel Hossain and Nadimuddin, who is still 18.
I will also be looking forward to Mahmudul Hasan who is likely to be the new U19 captain, Amit Majumder and Taposh Ghosh. Shovagoto Hom is another youngster who has been performing in the DPL but does anyone know how old he is?

Good that the U19s are having some practice out there in the field. Many of these guys are doing good in the DPL.
We also need some tours/home matches for the 'A' Team, or else good boys from the U19s will not get the chance to mature before being called for the national team. infact ATM most of our players go direct to the national team from U19 level.

Have we announced our U-19 team? This should be a good contest for our boys.

why aren't they official U19 tests which are 4 dayers?
also, Under 19 means "under 20" really...it means 19 and under, AFAIK.

yes gowza is excited, will be interesting to see who is selected for this series (wondering if it will be a superstar team or a totally new look team). some of the older guys from the last team might still be eligible but they've done some good things in the domestic comps and internationally (rubel), not sure whether it would be the right move to play them in the u19 team.
