Since no one had made a match thread for the first IPL match of the season, I thought I'd go ahead and make the first one.

Hopefully it will be a good game and Ash will get in the starting X1. If he doesn't, I hope Mumbai gets trashed and all their foreign players fail, so Ash can get into the team next game.

This was the first match thread of last season's IPL, which I also created

. It was a sweet game by McCullum and they soundly beat Bangalore. Hopefully there will be similar fireworks in this game.

I actually think the Mumbai team is a little better. Think about it, for the past 3 months, Tendulkar, Harbhajan, Zaheer and Duminy have been some of the best cricketers in the world, they're in great form. Plus they have Jaya, who can single handedly win Mumbai the match.

Should be a good game. IMO, the team that gels the fastest and have good chemistry will be most successful and win the tournament.

yes. the spvod plugin needs to be installed (it should automatically show a message asking if you want to install it). the quality of the vdo is great; but it also has buffering problems.
