Micorosoft Office Help
The Office open XML file equations cannot be because there are problems with the contents
i keep getting this message every time i try open my document..i tried everything i can but no luck..i stayed up two nights in a row to work on my ENGR final project and now this..someone please help...

What are you trying to open? How was the document originally created? What version of word are you using to open the document? As an alternative, try to open the document using open office.

well the document has bunch of equations mainly and a few sketches..i'm using word 2007...i think its something with the equations..when i was typing last night at one point after i typed in an equation my margins and other setting on the document changed..so i tried closing it and opening the document again and i started getting the error message...

Your equations file may have become corrupted. Try the following.
- Make a copy of the .docx and keep it in a safe place
- Change the file extension to .zip
- Unzip it
- From the unzipped set of folders, look for the equations and delete them.
- Zip the contents back
- Change the file extension back to .docx
