I have a feeling this will be Mash's first match in IPL. Let's hope he plays and takes advantage of a fairly weak Bangalore team.

i just hope mash can live up to the expectation..they will probably give him only one chance unlike others players which is really not fair to him..

I've gotta say, i am extremely surprised to see that Mash hasnt been given a chance yet. $600000 is no joke. Heres hoping he'll get his chance against Bangalore...

The thing going against Mashrafe is his T20 bowling average and economy
He is averaging over 51 and has an economy over 9 an over. From 9 match, he took only 6 wickets with a strike rate over 33. KKR shouldn't have bought him for that much anyway. If they knew before that IPL will be shift to South Africa, they wouldn't buy him. They bought him because they had Bangladesh in mind that time.

i think they didn't expect anybody else to bid for mashrafe but even than they could have easily backed away from the bidding..because tamim and sakib was up for grab as well only for $50,000..i guess they didn't want king's punjab to have mashrafee than they would have to share the bangladeshi audience between themselves and kings punjab

Shakib and Tamim are not heartthrob of Bangladesh cricket. They are not in the same level of Mash as of yet. Not even Ash.
Mash re neya ar pura Bangladesh ke paowa same kotha.

Mendis had a bit of trouble last game. Hopefully Mash can replace him. Unfortunatly, I don't see Mash replacing anyone else, even though McCullum nor Hodge has done anything special so far, specially McCullum. If this guy wasn't the captain, I think that he would have missed a game with his terrible form.

Agarkar will play, according to news.
Mash should be in also for his free hitting abilities.

First one is on the net ("Ajit Agarkar will return to the XI in place of the injured Anureet Singh.")
Second one is just a hope

Since Gayle is gone, Mash might be in. Hope I'll see him playing when I wake up at 6:30.

Wait, Gayle is unavailable for this match? I thought that this was his last match in the IPL and then he'd be gone?

Mashrafe wont play this game, but he'll definately play the next one coz this is Gayle's last match, after this he goes and Mash comes in...
unless Bitchanon selects Moises Henriques or Charles Langevelt!

Mashrafe playing or not, this time I am with KKR. Bangalore did much worse with Razzak.

I think what works against Mash is his lack of willingness to bowl at the death. He may lead the Bangladesh pace attack and is allowed to dictate terms, but he can't do the same in the ipl
And Mccullum would never be dropped even if he is in terrible form batting( not really he is like ashraful, comes off once in a blue moon, this is the norm), he is one of the worlds best keepers

I predict, Mashrafe will play today. Hodge may be replaced. It does not make sense to play an out of form player matches after matches. WP Saha can replace Hodge.

KKR selectors r so stupid... even if they dont play mash i can understand that (however frustrated i would be)... but why do they pick anureet singh when the guy is sooo bad and yet they leave out murali kartik and agarkar
Their team balance is so bad as well, they have so many quality bowlers and so few quality indian batsmen, doesnt make any sense... Saha is one guy that can actually play a few shots and score some runs, he should play and i hope mash gets an opportunity... but truth be told, for all their quality bowlers they still dont take enough wickets and mcculum has to stop bowling ganguly out of sympathy and follow his true instincts
