Default How is Mohammed Mithun?

Guys,

We have seen Mushfique Rahim as a batsman and a keeper. He is just okay in keeping as of now but he is good as a test batsman rather than and ODI batsman. He is not an explosive player for ODI. ODI wicketkeeper batsman should be explosive as down oder firepower is important.

I was wondering if some could give me an insight into Mithu;s batting. I have heard is an explosive batsman like Tamim, dts kinda good news.

sangakkara isn't an explosive batsman but he's done well even when he was keeping, the thing is BD might be better off playing rahim as a specialist batsman in tests and have someone else keep wicket because he should be batting top 6 but in tests that's hard for a keeper to do. as for one-day cricket, rahim could bat top 6 but the thing is i'd have all of the allrounders above him and that means he needs to be explosive which he isn't, problem is he really struggles batting top 3 and they are the only top 6 spots open atm in ODIs.

now for mithun, haven't seen him bat but if you look at his strike rates and the amount of boundaries he gets then he does look like an explosive batsman, personally i prefer the ashraful/aftab type of exlposiveness to tamim's, tamim is still quite hit and miss (in an ugly way) and i wouldn't quite put him in the league of ashraful's and aftab's hitting ability. ashraful and aftab have really good hitting ability, they just struggle with other things, hopefully mithun has their hitting ability but knows how to build an innings consistently.

List A Match: 9
Catches: 10
Stump: 4

1.55 dismissals per match.

By looking at this stat, you have say he is a good keeper.

yes it should be mithun ali.

promising batsman. lets see how he does in the international scene. may be then we can think of using mushfiq as a specialist top order batsman in test matches playing at no 3 or 4

Mushfiq is good for batting in only tests.. even though he helps to stop the collapse of the usual bengali batsmen in ODI's.. dont know anything about Mithun though.. dont follow PCL.. BC is the first place i heard about him.. i know its stupid but more info about him would be really appreciated..

U know when you start expecting a bit too much about players no one has ever seen....u put them on such a high pedestal.......

........that when they fail to deliver.........you are crushed and want off with his head....

This thread is a tragedy in the works.....Build enough hype around him....and you will be sorry that you did.

"ura-dhura" hitters dont seem to do well in a T20, I remember tamim struggling badly in last T20 WC. Bangladesh is too thin on batting, and it is the batting that won the T20 matches. We needed atleast Aftab and Nazimuddin from the banned players.

Like to see how this Mithun and Shamsur plays, but with so few matches under their belt, its a big risk for Bd.

tbh the hype is already there, i don't have a problem with hype because it makes things more exciting, but just because someone is hyped doesn't mean people should want to fillet him if he doesn't succeed. if someone is hyped but fails we just have to accept that the search must continune....
