Unhappy Unfortunate Bangladeshi Fans

Actually it is us BD fans who are the unluckiest in the world. We get very few happy endings and it is all because of supporting such a Pathetic team.

Addiction is stronger than chemical bonds even.

We (BD fans) have put our hopes on something that doesn't stay. So when the hopes are not fulfilled we get depressed (and make Pharmaceutical companies rich). We need to try to find what will stay with us forever (I have the answer, if someone needs to know PM me).

Nothing wrong in supporting a team. But lower your expectations. Some of you guys are expecting more than say a South African fan expects from his team. If you have unrealistic expectations you will get horrible disappointments.

It was not an unrealistic expectation to win against Ireland. BCB needs to look at itself hard and for a long time. Things need to change from ground up; BCB-> Selection committee-> coach-> captain.

Had we just expected to beat Ireland and miss out, then maybe we wouldn't have got hurt this much considering how good Ireland has come in recent days. But we EXPECTED (not wished) to beat India, we expected semifinals; which were very much possible but there was no reason to be sure that it was gonna happen. So we could've raised the bar of expectation step-by-step rather than by miles. We fans should be a bit more conservative in expressing our deep-high expectations in full volume. Even I dreamt inside of BD winning this WC even, but kept it to myself coz I didn't wanna make the ballooon bigger and then find it getting burst. Now the balloon did burst but it was still way too small to cause any serious heartbreak......phew! What a day!

my days back in BD were full of cricket games consisting all the test playing countrys.
We used to support various teams mostly sub continent nations.
There were Paki and Indians...
I on the other hand started supporting Sri lanka(Basically coudnt stand Indian and Paki fans in bangaldesh).
It were sometimes heart breaking but Sri Lanka always played with their hearts..Cricket is not fun anymore since I started supporting Bangladesh...
Fluke or no fluke they play rubbish cricket.. the mindset is not there..

I may have to wait another 6 years for this team to be matured...

Hard to believe how suicidal & irresponsible approache we have in cricket.
onek shopno chilo but all of a sudden gone, byebye to BD.
but this passion for crckt wil never die.can't live without supporting.
These plyrs just killed there & our dreams & oppurtunities.
Lets see how long they keep killing themselves.

I have 2 A-level final exmas this week (wednesday and thursday):
  • i didnt revise on saturday as i was in nottigham for bd india match
  • i couldnt revise on sunday due to the high level of excitment that was building up inside me for today's match.
  • i wont be able to revise today (or tomorrow) as i am too disheartened and sad. Seriously guys i dont think anyone would understand how much pain i'm in after today's events.

heaven help me!!!!

I am sorry to say that there is not much difference among BD players and some fans like you. You have to prioritize what is important in your life - be it how you have to remember what the coach says to do when batting or revising for your important exams.

we really don't have much of a choice.... at the end of the day... we all know that whatever these guys do... we will never stop supporting them.... the love of the game+patriotism= some sort of an unbreakable bond........

and seeing as we don't have a choice but to support BD, we shud probably lower our expectations a bit and live with it....

but the fact remains tht u can lower ur expectations only so much... because expecting to defeat ireland at this stage is really not too much...
and at the end of the day... u have to raise the bar of expectation and ur level in performance bit by bit...
it seems to me like we raise our bar in a rate which is understandable... its just these players who dont seem to be reaising their bar the way they whould....
we fans end up sacrificing so much for these guys.. and yet they dont seem to realise... like i said earlier... if not for themselves... they should do it for the millions of fans.... who have wasted night after night without sleep watchin these pathetic idiots playing.... given them more importance than out own studies.... wasted god knows how many hours here in bc trying to find out the root cause of all this and finding a solution for it when deep down we all know tht it'll be of no use... yet we continue to do so, day after day, month after month... year after year.... and we all know we'll continue to do so... bcoz we, like our players.. are also mindless idiots...

frankly speakin... i blame part of their failure on us... if we weren't so supportive.. givin up sleep, studies and precious time for them, they might've played better.... but they know as well as we do... that at the ned of the day, we'll never stop following them..... no matter what sort of mindless bulsh*t they do.......
