Talking Mumzy Stranger - The new British Bengali music sensation!

Mumzy Stranger is a new British R&B and hip hop singer, his debut single One More Dance, will be releasing on July 20 2009, he springs onto the scene with an exciting new sound and distinctive urban style. He is a British-born, Balganji, and his real name is Muhammad Mumith Ahmed. He has performed all over the UK in Asian concerts, including the Baishakhi Mela front of 80,000 in London.

He is the first person of Bangladeshi descent to enter the British music industry, he released his music video 'One More Dance' which has been described as successful with flashy lights including a good looking dancer called, Francessca Hoffman. But will this new artist be successful in the near future? do you think with his new song he will be one of the greatest pop sensations? or do you think this guy is a joke? watch the YouTube video and comment...

Anyways, for some reason I expected him to sing in bengali.... that would have been weird. "amake ek nache do"

I agree with the dancer part though

he does in fact have 1 bengali song (in sylheti thou), but he doesn't know his bengali that much, his track is called 'mone kori' which means 'i think', but he says 'im thinking of you'... which is pretty funny..

definitely agree on the bengali one, but i think this guy has got a good prospect of becoming a popular music artist, come on im presumming hes the first Bangladeshi to release an English single and albulm, all other Bengali music artists such as Gamble in the US or MC Flex in the UK have only un-released recorded music, seeing hes got a good music video, there may be high hopes for him

Did you have dreams of representin' Gopal? Aww did he beat you to it?

The way he says 'give' in 'give me one more dance' disturbs me. Actually the whole line of 'give me one more dance' just sounds wrong for some reason. It sounds like all the other stuff in that style that's out there though, so I guess it must be good? However, I am digging his Brit accent in the other video, he should stick to talking.

And the girl, she's pretty, but I'm sorry she can't dance very well.

Sounds very generic to me... and the video too, what is it with UK pop churning out these songs and vids so regularly??

the genre he belongs to is just as ephemeral as him. when that moves out of fashion, so would he. however, in the meanwhile, i am sure he would amuse many a kid and pseudo aspirational home-boy. i wish him all the best and hope that he makes a reasonable amount of money before the fad ends.

I am not a big fan of his music style, first time I heard about him. The song is mediocre IMHO.

I find this guy hilarious trying to imitate Neyo. I find him a bit plastic. The whole genre of rap, hip-hop is dominated by African americans with few whites like Eminem making their names. He will have a tough time surviving out there. Not to mention he doesn't have the manliness look of Neyo, ll cool j or other similar artists in his genre.

I don't care for this type of music, but I have to say... what a crappy stage name! (for one thing, it reminds me of "The Last Mimzy")

I'm not surprised his Bangla is terrible... but what about his Sylheti?

Why cant we Bangladeshis be original for once? They guy has a good voice but for heaven's sake Neyo would have punched the crap out of him for copying his style.
