Brilliant!
Thats what we hoped for from Bidyut, to carry on to a double and ensure that BD got a 400+ score. 452 is excellent although 78 extras kind of puts it in perspective.
Anyhow, great start to the tour by the A team. Bowlers picked up 5 wickets before close of play as well. Looks like a follow-on is likely and if that happens, we should have the game wrapped up by lunch on the 4th day!
Actually, this bowling squad looks really good. Three front-line seamers in Aziz, Kabir and Monir backed up by Mushfiq and the spinner Mojurul Islam Rana.

Either we have improved dramatically or DHA really sucks. For now I choose to beleive in the first hypothesis!

Unfortunately, DHA really sucks. They lost to PIA by an innings and 90 runs after PIA declared for 451 for 5.
Actually, DHA did not even qualify for the tournament, they were added later on. (sorry)

Probably some more bad news ...
I can give you some more bad news - in the context of this Patron's trophy/cup tournament.
The bad news is, although I am not sure about the opponents' strengths, but I think that our 'A' team will play against some moderate strength teams before the 29th Dec game or after the 29th Dec game, and then just when our 'A' team will meet against all the stronger teams, for example - PIA, then our 'A' team will virtually have no player from the national team, because most of them will come back to Bangladesh and attend the camp for the coming Zimbabwe tour.
So our real 2nd-string team will then have to play against the stronger teams of the tournament, having done so well early on in the tournament.
Meanwhile, we will get a wrong impression about our national players that they are improving - far better than we thought they would, and then eventually we may end up no-where in the Namibia and finally in the Zimbabwe tour.
I just hope that we get to play some medium-level stronger team before the first part of the team returns by first week of January/last week of December.

Are these stronger teams or weaker teams of the tournament?

Guessing that these are the stronger teams of the tournament
Our real BD 'A' team, or may be BD 'B' team will play against the following teams (I am saying 'B' team because the training camp will have players of about 20 to 22 members, and 4 or 5 of those players will be of the BD 'A' team):-
05-08 Jan PIA (Pakistan International Airlines)
12-15 Jan Pakistan Customs
19-22 Jan KRL (Khan Research Labs)

The usual bits and pieces :
Bidyut batted for 469 minutes, faced 352 balls and hit 36 fours. The 36 fours is the most hit in an innings bettering 28 by Bashar and Imran Farhat.
78 extras conceded by DHA is easily a record in matches involving Bangladesh teams.
Hossain scored 176 in a day which is an improvement upon Ashraful's 157. Imran Farhat, though, scored 195* in a day while playing for Biman in 2000-01.
Bidyut has now scored 664 runs in first class matches with three hundreds and no fifties. Infact he has never been dismissed between 28 and 133, though he has a 121*. His last four innings preceding the 218 were 0, 1*, 1 and 6

But I think we have to consider that he has played less first class matches than others of Bangladesh (in domestic first class) because of injury and other personal matters for which he was unavailable during those first class games.

Waterdevelopments?
Tellecommunication?
Airlines?
Research Labs?
Does every company have a first-class cricket team! And how do you get into them do you have to work in that particular field?
