Thats a bit crass, given that Pakistani cricket probably had nothing to do with the bus attack...

Except may be that they had strongly advocated hosting other teams fully knowing that their country was not a very safe place.
And they are still doing it. After winning the T20 WC, Yunis Khan emphasized that Pakistan is a safe place and other teams should visit them (conveniently forgetting what happened to Lanka just a few months ago).

This is what happens when you dont get to play regular cricket and then field a young team against a very good opponent. Pakistan is experiencing what we do every game.

A very young team? Salman Butt, Yunis Khan, Mohommad Yusuf, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul...almost half the team has good experience. Even someone like Fawad Alam has played 11 matches already. That is certainly not a very young team. That is a very good balance of youth and experience.
Those shots that they played and got out were plain idiotic.

you are misreading his comments...
"I am requesting to all of the countries: 'You must come to Pakistan'," Younis said. "Everybody knows law and order is not good but it is not our fault. Especially for youngsters, we need home series because everywhere there is no cricket in Pakistan. How can we motivate the youngsters, especially at school level and college level? I think this will be helping us build a new structure in Pakistan for our future.
"How can we promote cricket to our youngsters if there is no international game in Pakistan? How can I motivate my son and my neighbours' small children? That's why we need cricket in Pakistan. Law and order is not good, but this is not our fault. We are suffering at the moment from these kinds of things. I think sports should be away from politics."
he wants teams to come so we can promote cricket in pak and stop youngster to take the wrong path!....

good that they got fawad in the team, would prefer him in the middle order but he's done well with where they've placed him. now all they need to do is get razzaq and afridi into their team.

If Pakistan wins this match, this one will go down as a special one in the history.

This bloke Fawad Alam looks like a find. I would bat him in the middle order though, at this stage at 5, but he looks like he could be a first drop batsman eventually. I wouldn't have him opening the batting, though with Pakistan's deficit of openers that may be where he stays for the immediate future.

May end up with a double ton! Pak 2/294, 144 in front on Day 3. A target of 400 is very much on the cards and would be pretty hard to chase IMO.

I feel sorry for Herath. He never got many chance to play for SL because of Murali, but whatever chances he got, he always grabbed it with both hands.
