Hey guys, we need Kalpurush da to do a match thread for the 2nd youth test bet BD U-19 and Eng U-19 starting tommorow! We have to beat them in this one to level the series!

Old habits die hard. The guys are playing a lot of deliveries on average out there, which is good, but it's no good when the total isn't > 350 against a second string version of a side ranking only one spot ahead of us. This inexplicable inability to carry on after a start - passed down by generations - simply portrays, for the umpteenth time, the weakness of our domestic structure and our batsmen's unwillingness to learn. We could blame Ashoka, but doing that over and over isn't taking us anywhere.
All eyes on the bowlers now - we can still turn this around. Otherwise, beg you God make it rain like it never rained in 50 years.

If BAN keeps winning quite a few of our fans will be worse than Paki-Indian fans. At least their team wins whereas ours looks like a school kids against WI F team.
Today our batting was as usual pathetic. Although the lower order showed some spirit the top order still failed (again). IMHO we should just take a break from test cricket, gain more FC experience and then start playing Tests because there is no point playing international matches and embarrassing yourself and your nation. Even if we win this test series (which I hope we do) I still want us to stop playing tests for a while. From the scorecard I see most of our "specialist" batsmen scored double figures but failed to go on and score a fifty or even a hundred, that means they lacked the proper technique and temperment and by temperment I dont mean they were too aggressive they were more like too cautious and lacked confidence. In test cricket a batsmen shouldn't bat defensively the batter must bat moderately using singles as the main source of runs with the bonus of some odd boundaries from bad balls, leaving the good ones or defending them, maybe thats the problem we face. We suck at rotating singles and we cant tell the difference between a good ball and a bad ball.

this looks far too well composed to be written by a 12 year old...

Ofcourse it is too much for most 12 year olds. I am 13 btw But I think you guys underestimate this age group too much, there are kids my age that can write much better than me and I do agree that it doesnt sound like what a typical 13 year old would have written but I always find it easy to write like this, so why go with the usual msn language ? Its important to post your opinions properly if you want them to be heard.

no, because indian fans think they own the world and everyone should be subservient to them (ICC, IPL issues)
and paki fans think any success is indicative of their "racial" superiority to everyone else.

Not that I am taking any sides, but stereotypes are true. Even liberal leaning Bill Maher once said in his show that there IS a reason stereotypes arise. Generalizations dont just appear out of vacuum. In my long term "tenure" in usa i have met many Indians who have this I-am-better-than-thou condescending attitude. "Eh Bangali babu...kaisa hai..." Another one be like: "You have a lot to learn man...we gotta teach you on how to dress properly..." They always have this Big Brother attitude.
At the same time, whenever I go to Bangali gatherings almost 99% of the mainstream people LIVING in US has this anti-American, "oh-911-was-an-inside-job" attitude.
In my youth I was virulently against racial profiling. As I grew older, and having seen patterns, now I know better to rise over the politically incorrectness of an issue.
Having said this, I don't defend stereotypes even knowing the veracity of some of the issues *likeSouthEastAsianshavingbodyodorissuesbecausethe yaretoocheaptoinvestindeodorants*
And a sign of an evolved, Enlightened being should also be to look beyond stereotypes and see an individual human for his own unique qualities instead of labeling him. But to deny that generalizations don't exist is to live in a self-delusional world.

Bangalis do that too. We tend to behave like anyone "junior" to us is an inferior species that is just wrong, disrespectful and needs to be fixed by my "senior" bhab! condescension seems not to run along nationality, but ethnicity too :P
